The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) has urged Indonesians to buy and consume products of the local micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Ministry's Finance and MSMEs' Development Expert Staff, Loto Srinaita Ginting expressed hope that the people would trust MSMEs products more considering their increasing quality and competitiveness.
"Thanks to our favorable curation process, national MSMEs products are very competitive," Ginting said in an online press conference titled 'Proud of Indonesian Products: East Java from Bank BRI' here Wednesday.
The MSMEs products have been internationally recognized, which means that their high quality is guaranteed, he added.
Indonesians should be proud and act on that pride by purchasing or consuming local MSMEs products, he opined.
He hoped that the consumer becomes more demanding. In the age of globalization, product quality becomes very important and MSMEs should boost not just the quality of their product, but also their production capacity, Ginting added.
He also urged MSMEs to utilize every support granted to them by the government, companies, and all stakeholders to optimize their performance.
"Then, I once again remind all of us as stakeholders and MSME mentors, that we need to collaborate to support national MSMEs because there is statistical data that shows that MSMEs are the enterprises with the largest amount," Ginting noted.
By supporting national MSMEs, Indonesia's economy would advance more, he added.
Ministry of State-owned Enterprises as a campaign manager has appointed the BRI as the organizer of 'Proud of Indonesian Products National Movement' and collaborated with East Java Provincial Government.
The goal of the 'Proud of Indonesian Products National Movement' with the theme 'Cool Local East Java' is to raise the people's love and appreciation toward local products, especially those by the MSMEs. (Antaranews)
