Brilliant National Library Award as an Appreciation for Society - 

 

As an institution in charge of the library sector, the National Library is obliged to give awards in accordance with the provisions stipulated in Law Number 43 concerning Libraries, article 51 (paragraph 6) which states that the government and local governments give awards to people who have succeeded in carrying out a reading habituation movement. .

Nugra Jasadharma Pustaloka is the highest award given by the National Library after seeing their progress and achievements with various assessments and considerations.

According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Sunday (12/09/21), The Head of the National Library Muhammad Syarif Bando stated that the National Library needed support and active participation from the community.

"So that the ideals of the state to educate the nation's children can be achieved together," said Syarif Bando. 

Nugra Jasadharma Pustaloka is given to public officials, community leaders, the public, mass media, and lifetime achievements that are considered successful in facilitating and encouraging the cultivation of a love of reading.

Appreciation and awards were also given to the preservation of ancient manuscripts, the best books (libraries) from the National Library collection, the best national high school library, the best village/kelurahan public library at the national level, the winner of the national SD/MI speaking competition, the highest data contributor for the browsing service repository. One-stop knowledge of Indonesia OneSearch, as well as the province with the highest reading interest rate and the highest Community Literacy Development Index in Indonesia in 2020.

The delivery of Nugra Jasadharma Pustaloka 2021 is packaged in an entertainment concept titled Gemilang National Library. The Gemilang National Library is an arena for the community to recognize the activities of the National Library which are inspiring, informative, communicative, and educative.

Gemilang National Library will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 14.00-16.30 WIB.
For the first time, this year Gemilang National Library was held face-to-face and virtual or hybrid. What is special, Gemilang is held to coincide with Library Visit Day which is commemorated every September 14 and the Month of Love to Read.

Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian will be present to open the event. The Gemilang National Library will be carried out in a simple manner without compromising the essence, appreciating people who care about literacy and libraries with the appearance of Indonesian Reading Ambassador Gol A Gong and singer Cakra Khan.
