The Indonesian Trade Ministry inaugurated a new office of Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) in Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UAE) to optimize the promotion of Indonesian local products. The Indonesian Trade Minister, Muhammad Lutfi in Dubai on Saturday (2/10) noted that the trade office in Dubai is extremely good. The most important thing is not the display, but the result is satisfying. The movement of ITCP office in Dubai was done from Al Masraf Tower/Office 403/Baniyas Road/Dubai to Port Saaed area/ Deira/Dubai which is more strategic. So, it is expected to further promote the Indonesian local products to the UAE and Middle East region.
The ITPC office in Dubai is located near an office of governmental institutions which become working partners of ITPC, such as Dubai Economic Development (DED) and Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA). The office is also amid office buildings, star hotels, and department stores. It is located near Dubai International Airport. Besides, the new location is also near one of the icons of Dubai, Clock Tower. Thus, the office of ITPC is now easily found because it is close to a bus station and Metro train station. The new office of ITPC has a theme “Modern yet Ethnic“ which tends to be informal and minimal without ignoring Indonesian cultural identity. The office has also a special area to exhibit some excellent products of Indonesia, especially the products of Indonesian Micro-Small-and-Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and it has potential to be liked by buyers from UAE. For aesthetic purpose, efficiency and image, the exhibition room is also prioritized for Indonesian excellent quality products that have been selected by ITPC Dubai. The products that have been exhibited at the ITPC office are food, handicraft, accessories, cosmetics and clothes, sarong and batik as well as leather shoes from 30 MSMEs across Indonesia.
