One of the nation's and Muhammadiyah leaders, Ahmad Syafii Maarif, passed away on Friday (27/5/2022).

Syafii died at the PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital, at 10.15 WIB.

General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir expressed his condolences for the death of Syafii Maarif.

"Hopefully he died in peace, accepted for his deeds of worship, forgiven for his mistakes. Please forgive his mistakes and prayers from all of them," said Nasir in his written statement, Friday (27/5/2022).

"His funeral and other information will follow," he added. (RRI)
