The Communication and Informatics Ministry will prepare high-speed Internet coverage fornational and international media crews covering the G20 Summit, which will be held in Bali on November 15–16, 2022. "We will prepare a number of facilities at the media center, including a workspace with 96 PCs (personal computers) connected to a LAN (local area connection) network with a high Internet speed of 1.5 Gbps (gigabytes per second)," Director General of Information and Public Communication at the ministry  Usman Kansong said here on Tuesday.

The media center prepared by the ministry will be equipped to accommodate around 1,500 media crews, he informed at a press conference on media registration and coverage preparation for the G20 Summit.

"The G20 Summit media center will also have a press conference room equipped with translator machines for five languages with a capacity of 443 people," he added.

In addition, it will have lounges, health workers, and relaxation facilities to support the work of the media crews, the director general said.

Furthermore, the media center will provide journalistic photos and clean feed broadcasts to support the dissemination of information on the summit to the public, he added.

He said that the media center is planned to be opened from November 13–17, 2022, at the Bali International Convention Center or Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.

His party will also provide shuttle buses to ferry the journalists from their lodgings to the media center.

Registrations of domestic and foreign media persons who wish to cover the international event opened on September 5, 2022, Kansong informed. They will close on October 10.

"Please register at https://g20.org/registration. After registration, you will get an invitation (mail), then we will prepare identity cards (for the registered media crews), which can be collected on November 10–15," he said.

Registered media crews will be able to obtain their identity cards at the Courtyard Bali Seminyak Resort by showing the results of their COVID-19 antigen swab tests. The tests will be provided at the hotel.
