Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Yuyu Sutisna told Media on the sidelines of Indonesia Air Force Leadership Meeting 2018 at the Air Force Headquarters, Cilangkap, Jakarta, Friday (26/01) the purchase of Sukhoi Su-35 fighter aircraft from Russia will be based on the set schedule. Based on the strategic plan data from the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan), the purchase of Sukhoi fighter will be done with a commodity exchange system from Indonesia.
“Our Sukhoi Su 35 is still on the way, there is no effect, I haven’t heard anything. What is clear is still the way. As stated by the TNI Commander, we are still on the way and I expect by February 2018 we will sign the contract,” Marshal Yuyu Sutisna.
Marshal TNI Yuyu Sutisna explained if the signing of the purchase contract of Sukhoi Su 35 is done in February 2018, the first Russian fighter jet will arrive in Indonesia in 2019. //// (voinews / Ahmad Faisal / edt / ahm)
