Bangla Program

Dear Sir/Madam,

21 February, International Mother Language Day; Congratulation.
13 February, world radio day; Congratulation. 
I am a Bangladeshi freelance journalist, researcher, social activist. I am
requesting your country to broadcast program in Bangla (Bengali). 

It is perhaps the only language on the basis of which an independent state was
created (Bangladesh). At present, in terms of the number of native speakers in any
language; Bangla is the 7th and more than 250 million people speaking Bangla.
According to one statistic in 2050 the number of its speaker will in the age group
between 14 to 25 rises into 316 million.

Bangla is the state language of Bangladesh and one of the 18 language listed in the
Indian constitution. Also 2002 Sierra Leone declares Bangla one of their state
languages. 

Moreover Bangla is the only language on the earth for which its speakers late their
life and UN declare 21st February on the International Mother Language Day. This day
was introduced by the UNESCO in recognition of the sanctity and preservation of all
vernacular language in the world. This event began being observed from 21st February
2000 throughout the world.

Bangladesh, India, UK, Portugal, Japan, Australia have already build Shaheed Minar
(Language Moment) in honor of language martyrs and mother tongue of all other nation
and ethnic. A similar monument is going to build in many countries in the world.

A large number of Bangla speaking people live in different parts of the world;
including your country. At present the national radio of USA, UK, Germany, Italy,
Iran, China, Japan, Russia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Radio Veritas Asia, Trans
World Radio, Adventist World Radio, United Nations Radio have already broadcasting
Bangla programs.

Please broadcast Bangla program. The Bangla program in your media will help build
strong relationship between two different cultures.
