President Joko Widodo reminded the ministers and staffs to keep national strategic agendas run continuously. Amid covid-19 pandemic situation, President Jokowi explained that the national strategic agenda is important for people's life. It was conveyed by the President when opening a Limited Cabinet Meeting via video conference on Evaluating the National Strategic Program for the Recovery of the National Economic Impact of Covid-19, Friday May 29, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. The President mentioned that the national strategic agenda does not only to involve the economic field, but also the basic things for the people, such as education, improving the quality of Human Resources and health sector.
"For example, in the field of Health, the government has a big agenda, namely reducing stunting, eradicating tuberculosis, malaria, dengue fever, HIV/AIDS, and also relating to healthy living movements which the government must continuously work on. This means the government must focus on handling and controlling COVID-19, but strategic agendas that have a major impact on people's life must not be forgotten" President said.
Moreover, President Jokowi further asked the national strategic program that are currently running, to be focused on accelerating programs, that have a direct impact on strengthening the people’s economy and national economic recovery. Those are such as programs of land certification for the people, legalization of transmigration land, agrarian reform, social forestry, and rejuvenation of people's plantations. (Ndy//TRANS:AF)
