The G20 countries agreed to urge Russia to immediately withdraw its troops from Ukraine without conditions. This was stated in the G20 Bali Leaders Declaration, Wednesday (16/11/2022).

"Deeply regrets the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. And demands its complete and unconditional withdrawal from Ukrainian territory," the declaration quoted it as saying.

This confirmation is in accordance with decisions that have been stated in other forums. Including the United Nations (UN) Security Council and the UN General Assembly.

The G20 countries also stated that the war had a worse impact on the global economy. Most members also strongly condemned the war in Ukraine and stressed it caused human suffering.

The declaration also stated that war has had a number of other adverse effects. Starting from exacerbating the existing fragility in the global economy, increasing inflation, disrupting supply chains.

Next, increase energy and food insecurity, thereby increasing the risk of financial stability. The G20 countries realize that this forum is not to discuss security, but the Russia-Ukraine war has a real impact on the global economy.

"We recognize that security concerns can have significant consequences for the global economy," the declaration said. The G20 also urges all countries to uphold international law and the multilateral system to ensure peace and stability.

"This includes defending all the goals and principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter and complying with international humanitarian law. This includes the protection of civilians and infrastructure in armed conflict," the declaration read.

The G20 also emphasized that the use or threat of using nuclear weapons is unacceptable. "Peaceful resolution of conflicts, efforts to overcome crises, as well as diplomacy and dialogue, are very important," the declaration was quoted as saying.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) again called on the leaders of the G20 and the world to stop the war. This was conveyed by the President when opening Session III of the G20 at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, Wednesday (16/11/2022).

"Starting this third session, let me repeat the message I conveyed at the opening of the summit yesterday. Stop the war, I repeat, stop the war," said President Jokowi.

President Jokowi emphasized that many things are at stake and war will only bring misery to the people. According to him, the world economic recovery will also not occur if the situation does not improve.

"As leaders, we all have a responsibility to ensure that the global situation is conducive for the future of the world," said the President. Previously, the President at the opening of the G20 Summit stressed all parties to be responsible for ending the war.

"Being responsible here also means we have to stop wars. If wars don't stop, it will be difficult for the world to move forward," said the President, Tuesday (15/11/2022).

In addition, if the war does not stop it will be difficult for the world to be responsible to the next generation. Therefore, the President requested that the G20 countries not let the world fall into a cold war.

"We shouldn't divide the world into parts. We shouldn't let the world fall into a cold war," said the President.
