Indonesia holds the 2019 Nias Pro International Surfing Championship. 15 countries participate in the event which has taken place on September 10-15. One participant from Venezuela, female surfer Rosanny Alvarez, admitted in Nias on Wednesday that she is challenged by the "ferocity" of the waves on the Sorake Coast, South Nias, North Sumatra, which she had heard from fellow surfers in advance.Meanwhile, another participant, Robert Peterson of the World Surf League (WSL) said that the wave at Sorake Beach is one of the best in the world so it is worthy of holding an international-level surfing competition. Nias Pro International Surfing 2019 is participated by 126 surfers from various countries.The Nias Pro International Surfing event is part of the Sail Nias 2019 event which will culminate on September 14. According to the schedule, the top event will be attended by President Joko Widodo.

The jet ski athlete, Aqsa Sutan Aswar lives up to the name of Indonesia by winning the P1 Aquacross Round-4 jet ski championship in the United States.At the Jet ski Championship held in Pensacola Beach, Florida, United States, September 7-8, Aqsa became the best in the highest class being contested namely the Pro Endurance 300. In the championship which was also participated in by world-class jet ski champions, it took place as many as 4 mottos. Aside from Aqsa Sutan Anwar, another Indonesian jet ski athlete, Aero Sutan Anwar who is Aqsa's brother also took part.Chairman of PP IJBA, Saiful Sutan Aswar said that he was satisfied with the appearance of his athletes Aqsa and Aero. Although, both did not have enough rest time after undergoing a long flight from Jakarta. His athlete could quickly adapt upon arrival in America.With these results, the man who is familiarly called Fully, hopes to become a major asset in the World Finals World Championship in October 2019. Based on the plan, Aero and Aqsa will take part in the event.

A series of celebrations for the 2019 National Sports Day (Haornas) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan was marked by a record celebration of the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI). More than 5,500 karateka were present in Banjarmasin City to demonstrate Kata 1 and Kata 2, two basic movements in karate on Sunday (8/9) morning.The participants consisted of various ages, ranging from children to parents from various regions in South Kalimantan. The activity was centered on the Merdeka Bridge, Martapura River, Banjarmasin City. The participants followed a movement led directly by Governor of South Kalimantan, Sahbirin Noor on the stage which is located at the intersection of Jalan Veteran and Jalan RE Martadinata.Before breaking the karate record, Gowes Nusantara 2019 stage at Banjarmasin was held. More than 5,000 bike riding participants registered to take part in this activity to ride a bicycle touring a distance of 24.9 kilometers. The highlight of the 2019 Haornas celebration will be held Sunday night at Menara Pandang Siring, Banjarmasin's new icon on the banks of the Martapura River. National Sports Day - Haornas 2019 was closed with a ceremony led by Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nahrawi on Monday morning, 9 September coinciding with the National Sports Day.

Israel's re-election to take place next week on September 17 evokes international reaction. Ahead of the election, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu promises to annex the West Bank which has been known as the Palestinian territory, as if he wanted to explore anyone who agrees and disagrees with this problem. This also shows that he is not alone with the planned annexation of the area.    

The West Bank as PM Netanyahu mentions is known by the name ‘Judea’ and ‘Samaria’ which are part of the territory of the Palestinian state, west of the Jordan River. The West Bank and Gaza Strip are part of the Palestinian territories declared in 1988. It is estimated that around 65 thousand Palestinians and 11 thousand Israelis live in the region.Indonesia and Arab countries strongly criticized PM Netanyahu's statement. The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that PM Netanyahu's promise is contrary to international law and various UN resolutions. This will obviously threaten the follow-up of the Palestinian-Israeli peace process. Saudi Arabia views that Prime Minister Netanyahu's plan is an escalation of dangerous tensions. Member countries of Islamic Conference Organization -OIC will hold a special meeting in Jeddah to discuss the threat of PM Netanyahu on 15th of September. On one hand, Jordan views Prime Minister Netanyahu's promise to trigger violent conflict in the Middle East. On the other hand, the European Union says that it would not recognize any changes relating to Jerusalem. The European Union believes that settlement construction and expansion in East Jerusalem is a violation of international law. In contrast, since last June, the United States through its Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman mentioned that Israel has the rights to annex the West Bank, Palestine.Apart from the strong international reaction, PM Netanyahu is actually facing panic with domestic political situation in Israel. After being re-elected as prime minister of Israel through the April 9 elections, it turned out that within the given deadline, PM Benyamin Netanyahu failed to form a new government, because it failed to reach a coalition agreement. This would threaten his position as Israeli prime minister. Raising sensitive issue in the campaign and evoking international reaction were an attempt by PM Netanyahu to win the re-election even though many said it was like rowing in the middle of the ocean with a leaky boat.

Tomohon City is one of cities in North Sulawesi province. Since a long time ago, the city has been written in some historical notes; one of them is in ethnographic work, Priest N. The people of Tomohon City have customs and culture called ‘Mapalus’. Mapalus, which means working together and helping each other, has been rooted and entrenched among them. The culture is still preserved up today. The beautiful city is also called as the city of flower. Its fertile land makes almost all types of flower grow in the city. A village at Tomohon City also becomes the main tourism destination. It is ‘Bunga hamlet’. Bunga hamlet located at Kakaskasen village in North Tomohon district is the initial location of floriculture development of Tomohon City. From the center of Tomohon City, the distance is 3 kilometers to the Bunga hamlet. Surrounding area of the village, there are many hotels and resorts with beautiful view where there are two volcanoes: Lokon and Mahawu. At this location, you can see and enjoy various kinds of potted ornamental plants and also flowers which are managed from generation to generation and placed at kiosks and also offered to visitors. Growing or selling the flowers is the way to earn a living for the local people.

Hundreds of young people of Cambodia gathered at functioning room of Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh last weekend  to watch Indonesian movie together entitled  ‘Ada Apa dengan Cinta 2’. The young people of Cambodia are the participants of Indonesian Cultural Center in Cambodia  including alumnus of Indonesian Cambodia who are working  in many important sectors. The film of  Riri Riza’s work can promote  social-culture and tourism of Yogyakarta as one of locations of the film. The event was opened by Indonesian ambassador to Cambodia, Sudirman Haseng who explained the importance of the gathering event to explore friendship, mutually know one another as well as build network with Indonesian connection.

The participation of  Reyog Ponorogo 2019 is based on the cooperation between Indonesian Embassy, Den Haag and Ponorogo regency this year that participated again in Embassy Festival event at boulevard, Lange Voorhout, Den Haag. Indonesian Ambassador to Nederlands, I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja stated that he himself is proud because he was able to participate at the event by bringing Reog Ponorogo.  Gusti Agung further explained the  event is the right  moment to participate and promote  Indonesian wealth of culture and arts internationally.

Palembang city government ,South  Sumatera offered  investment opportunity in the field of tourism to entrepreneurs of India because the Indonesian sector is being improved. Regional Secretary of Palembang city government, Ratu Dewa explained that his side will open   wider opportunity for this cooperation because this tourism sector has impact that can give welfare to people. Ratu Dewa   at the meeting with Indian trade delegations led by Consul General of India , Raghu Gururaj in Palembang said that his side is totally open and ready to help and guide, related to investment opportunity until license. Meanwhile, General Consul of India,Raghu Gururaj explained the coming  of Indian entrepreneurs that wants to explore investment opportunity in Palembang. He sees that the tourism sector  is promising enough and nowadays Indian citizens have also made Palembang city as tourism destination.
