Every region in Indonesia has its own special cuisine. For example, the Magelang area of Central Java has many special foods; one of which is Senerek soup. This soup is a typical one of Magelang, Central Java. Supposedly, this soup was adapted from Dutch cuisine. Senerek comes from the Dutch vocabulary, namely 'Snert' which means pea soup. In the past, the Dutch soldiers often cooked 'Snert Soup’ in Magelang . However, because the tongue of the local community has difficulty pronouncing snert, the term Senerek was created.

In addition to peas, Senerek soup consists of pieces of beef or chicken, carrots, and celery leaves which are then mixed with broth. This food is served in various versions; there is a clear soup but there is also a thick one. When eaten, this soup tastes so savory and delicious with the inherent aroma of pepper. Senerek soup is more delicious when eaten with warm rice. In addition, this soup will be even more delicious if enjoyed with side dishes, such as tempeh, tofu, meat perkedel or potato cake, and prawn Bakwan.

This soup is very rich in nourishment because it uses beef and broth, and then added with peas which are full of protein and carrots and tomatoes which are rich in vitamins. This soup is suitable for maintaining body stamina. If you are interested in tasting Senerek soup, this typical food is widely sold in food stalls in Magelang City with the price ranging from Rp. 15,000 to Rp. 20,000 per serving.

Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) extended the Covid-19 stimulus for non-bank financial industry since the Covid-19 pandemic predictably still continues. The stimulus is extended until April 17 2023, from previously April 17 2022. That was announced by OJK's Public Relations Deputy Commissioner, Anto Prabowo in a press release on Friday (7/1). He said that the pandemic is predicted to continue, negatively affecting debtors and non-bank financial service institutions, and potentially disturb the performance.

Anto Prabowo further remarked the policy was issued to maintain non-bank financial services industry performance improvement and stability as well as to avoid fluctuation potential when the Covid-19 countercyclical policy expires.

Previously, as a quick response to the Covid-19 impact, in March 2020, OJK had issued restructuring policies that were done by the finance companies. Until December 27 2021, total financial restructuring had reached Rp 218.95 trillion with 5.22 million approved restructuring contracts.

The assessment for ability and propriety of non-bank financial service institutions' main party candidate was held face-to-face at OJK office, and other places set by OJK or by video conference.

Meanwhile, working capital financial businesses with working capital facilities must fulfill the requirements, namely maximum funding value for every debtor amounting to Rp 10 billion. The candidate also must possess collateral in the form of vehicle, land, building, and/or heavy equipment. OJK also analyses the debtor's payment ability.

Besides, fintech lending can still facilitate restructuring applications submitted by debtors affected by Covid-19 to the lender, which must follow the regulation and be approved by the lender.

Trenggalek, a regency in East Java is located on the southern coast of Java Island. The topography of the Trenggalek area is identical to the mountains; one of them is in the Bendungan sub-district, northern area of Trenggalek City. The majority of the people in the sub-district work as farmers. To speed up the work and avoid the heat, they come to the fields as early as possible. The situation has made the housewives creative in preparing fast and delicious lunch. Thus, the idea of making so-called ‘Sego Gegog’ is made.

The name Sego Gegog is an acronym for “Sego Genem Godhong Gedhang” which means rice punel (fluffy and lumpy rice) that is wrapped in banana leaves. In a packet of Gegog rice, there is white rice and its side dish, namely anchovy sauce with a mixture of small tempeh slices. Besides anchovies, there are also people who use tuna and gizzard. Initially, the rice is half cooked, then it is wrapped in banana leaves with the side dish. Afterwards, it is steamed until cooked. Nasi Gegok is wrapped in small pieces. With a small portion, one person can spend 2 to 3 packs of Gegog rice.

When it is eaten, you will immediately smell the aroma of banana leaves. This typical food of Trenggalek is even more delicious, when it is combined with the spicy taste of the side dishes. Usually, the stalls selling this dish also sell fried side dishes, such as fried tempeh, fried tofu and many others. The Gegog rice can be enjoyed at food stalls in Trenggalek sub-district. But if you want to enjoy Gegog rice with an original taste, you can also try it in the Bendungan sub-district. The price of Sego Gegog is from Rp 3000 to Rp 5000/portion.
