Voice of Indonesia presents Let’s Speak Indonesian, a program that introduces the Indonesian vocabulary and guides you to speak in the language. “Mari Berbahasa Indonesia” or “Let’s Speak Indonesian”is a joint initiative of Voice of Indonesia and the Language Development Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.  Today’s topic is about Nonton Film di Bioskopwhich means Watching Movie in the Cinema. 

Here is the conversation entitled Film Tadi Bagus Sekali which means The Movie was So Good. This conversation happens between Kevin and Nuni. Nuni wants to know about Kevin's opinion on the movie that they just watched. Let’s read to the conversation.

After reading to the conversation, now I am going to introduce some vocabulary and expressions related to the topic of the day.

In the conversation, you hear the expression “Bagaimana filmnya?” (2x) which means “How is the Movie?”. In the question, there is the word Bagaimana? (2x) which means How?. In the conversation between Nuni and Kevin, the question word bagaimana (2x), which means how, is used to ask someone’s opinion. The question Bagaimana filmnya? (2x) which means How is the Movie? Is used to ask someone’s opinion about a movie。

Let’s read to the other examples of asking someone’s opinion by using the question word bagaimana.

“Bagaimana akting para pemainnya?” (2x) which means How is the acting of the actors?

Malang City, as one of the regencies in East Java is indeed famous for its many natural attractions, which is very tempting for tourists to visit. Its geographical location, which is in the highlands, makes Malang City have a cool air. In this city, you will be spoiled with various types of interesting recreational areas; one of which is Kletekan Bay.   

Kletekan Bay is located in Lenggoksono Hamlet, Purwodadi Village, Triyudo, Malang Regency, East Java. Getting to Kletekan Bay takes a long time and is certainly exhausting. When you arrive at Lenggoksono Hamlet, Purwodadi Village, you can choose the route you want. First from Lenggoksono Beach, you can rent a fishing boat, with a rental price per person of around IDR 50,000. In addition, you can walk through the path or ride a motorcycle. Through this route, the cost is cheaper but it is quite dangerous and quite challenging for your adrenaline.

The Kletekan bay attraction is open 24 hours every day, including weekends. If you want to rent a boat, you have to come around 7 am. Entering Teluk Kletekan, you don't need to pay an entrance ticket. Kletekan Bay presents a beautiful view, which you will not find anywhere else. The depth of sea water here ranges from 4 to 7 meters. In this bay, you can do many activities; one of which is snorkeling. Kletekan Bay is also famous for its beautiful underwater life. At a depth of 7 meters, sunlight can still shine on the bottom so that you can see colorful corals and fish. After being tired of snorkeling and doing various activities in Kletekan Bay, in the afternoon you can see the beautiful orange sky combined with the blue sea water, this sight will surely amaze you.

EXPO 2020 Dubai is a stage for Indonesia to showcase the potential and efforts of the government in developing the country through digital infrastructure readiness. Now, in the thirteenth week of the event, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics along with the Indonesian Pavilion displays the government's development of digital service innovations.

There are four pillars of development innovation by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics brought to Expo 2020 Dubai, including digital infrastructure, digital governance, digital economy, and digital society. These four pillars are the keys to accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia. In a business forum that takes place from December 24, 2021 to January 6, 2022, the Ministry explained the efforts, achievements and investment opportunities in the digital sector, starting from the Indonesia Broadband Roadmap, 5G Spectrum Roadmap in Indonesia, Digital Access as Universal Human Rights, IoT Ecosystem and Technology, to Digital Ecosystem for Rural Community.

The Ministry of Communications and Informatics also held training on robotics programming and the Internet of Things (IoT). By collaborating with the robotics team from AKPRINDO, one of the technology education institutions in Indonesia, the Ministry collaborates with educational institutions in Dubai to jointly study robot programming that has been developed by Indonesia.

Robot technology made by the Indonesian people is also exhibited, ranging from fire-fighting legged robots, frisbee-throwing robots, arrow-throwing robots to IoT-based automated delivery robots. In addition, the Ministry also exhibits passenger drones, sprayer drones, smart battery checkers and IoT-based vaccine temperature loggers. Indonesian startups also show off at the Expo 2020 Dubai event. This is a sign that the development of e-commerce in Indonesia in recent years has increased quite rapidly.

The Christmas Celebration of December 25, 2021 in Indonesia as a whole took place in a safe, peaceful and conducive manner.

On the website of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung also expressed his gratitude and believed that this Christmas celebration was going well, far from identity politics. In this way, the Christian community could celebrate Christmas with joy and safety.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD also emphasized that in Indonesia, all religious communities and institutions receive equal protection from the state. This means that Indonesia is neither a secular state nor a religious state, but a Pancasila state which is the nation's ideology. In the Pancasila state, all religions and their adherents receive equal protection.

The atmosphere of the Christmas celebration which was conducive and filled with optimism and joy is something to be grateful for. This is considering that for the last two years, Christmas celebrations were held amid of the Covid-19 pandemic, although it did not reduce its meaning. In 2020 and 2021, in the pandemic era, Christians in  Indonesia were able to get through it well. Meanwhile, at this Christmas celebration, the sense of peace, togetherness and tolerance are wisdom that should be upheld.

The theme of Christmas celebrations in Indonesia this year, "The Love of Christ that Moves Brotherhood", is very relevant to the condition of the Indonesian nation which is very diverse. This theme contains a message about the importance of continuing to maintain unity and unity. Brotherhood is a universal theme that can bind together the hearts of believers to maintain harmony, peace and prosperity for the nation.

In accordance with this theme, through the celebration of Christmas, Christians are asked to realize their calling as individuals who are willing to serve with wisdom and the importance of being wise in dealing with all differences, especially in welcoming the New Year 2022.
