Malalak is a sub-district in Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province, which is directly adjacent to Padang Pariaman. Malalak can be an alternative location for a vacation because it has a variety of amazing natural charms, one of which is Langkuik Tinggi Waterfall. This waterfall is often a stopover for local residents after activities in the fields to refresh themselves. Because, the flow of the waterfall and the cool air feels very refreshing to the body.

The Langkuik Tinggi waterfall is in the Nyiur area, South Malalak. It takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes from Bukittinggi or about 3 hours from Padang by motor vehicles. It's easy to find the location of this waterfall, because the post is on the side of the road. Arriving at the Langkuik Tinggi tourism object, you can park your car in the available parking lot. The parking ticket price is Rp 5,000. Then, you also have to pay an entrance ticket of Rp 5,000 per person. Before entering, you must first register yourself at the post. Here, you will be offered tour guide services. There is no special tariff for tour guide fees, depending on your willingness to give. From the post to the waterfall location, you have to walk for about 1 hour. You will pass through green rice fields and forests. The terrain is quite extreme because the road will be a bit slippery if it rains. To get to the first waterfall, you have to go along the river.

Langkuik Tinggi waterfall has 5 waterfalls. From one waterfall to another the distance is quite close. Arriving at the first waterfall, you will be amazed to see the swift falling water. This waterfall is so heavy that the splash of a waterfall on the rocks will wet you if you stand or take pictures around the location of this waterfall. After being satisfied to take pictures at this waterfall, you can rush to the second waterfall by crossing the river which is quite swift. In this second waterfall, you can swim, because the water is not too heavy and the pool is not too deep. Here you can take a short break before heading to the third, fourth and fifth waterfalls. These three places are close to the distance from the second waterfall, approximately 20 minutes. At the third, fourth and fifth waterfalls, you can also swim, take pictures and enjoy the beauty of the three waterfalls. Because there is no restaurant in this tourism area, we recommend that you bring your own food supplies. You can enjoy your food while enjoying the beauty of the Langkuik Tinggi waterfall.
