The Indonesian rowing team managed to become the overall champion in the 2019 China-ASEAN international dragon boat championship which ended in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China last weekend.As quoted by Antara on weekend, Indonesian team official, Ripka Widjaja said that in the 200- meter match, 22 Indonesian crews finished in first place, beating other participants from China and ASEAN countries. 64 teams participated in the race in the 200-meter distance participated in by both the 12 clubs and 22 crew, including China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia and Indonesia.

Indonesian men's singles Jonatan Christie won the Australian Open badminton tournament on Sunday (9/6) after defeating his country counterpart, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in the All Indonesia final. Indonesian athlete Eki Febri Ekawati won a bronze medal at the second Asian Athletics Grand Prix series in Chongqing, China on Friday night local time.Quoted from Instagram, the Indonesian Central Athletics Association (PASI) on Saturday (8/9), Eki Febri finished third with a throw of 15.25 meters. The 23rd Indonesian President's Cup International Championship committee stated that currently, there are 300 boxers from 27 countries that will compete in Labuan Bajo on July 22-29 2019. Indonesian male Lifter of the 2018 Asian Games gold medalist in 61 kilograms class, Eko Yuli Irawan returned to gain achievements in the 2018 Weightlifting World Championship which took place in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on November 1-10. The National Radio News Agency reported, Eko Yuli Irawan won three gold medals after being able to lift the barbell in the snatch force weighing 143 kilograms, clean & jerk 174 kilograms, and a total force of 317 kilograms. Thanks to his achievements, Eko also broke two world records in the clean & jerk class and total force. He was one of 11 Indonesian lifters who were competing in Ashgabat. He is also a weightlifting branch qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. With the points system used in this championship to determine how many quotas are obtained by each contingent, the gold medal presented by Eko is one of the guarantees to gain a ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Indonesian lifter, Sri Hartati won three gold medals in the weightlifting world championship entitled the World Open Powerlifting Championship in Halmstad, Sweden, 5-10 of November and two of them made a world record. Sri Hartati who is a lifter assisted by Gajah Lampung, based on data from the Executive Board of the All Indonesia Weightlifting Association in Jakarta, Wednesday competed in the 57-kg class to break 2 world records for the total power and in the Squat type. The U-16 National Team defeated Vietnam 4-2 in the third Group A AFF Cup held at Gelora Sidoarjo Stadium, East Java on Thursday night (2/8) local time. Indonesian Jiu Jitsu National Team made achievement at the UAE Grand Slam Jiu Jitsu Championship 2018 in Tokyo, Japan on last Sunday (29/7). Indonesia won five gold medals, two silver and two bonze. The five gold were grabbed by Ilma Yenni Megawati (white adult 62kg), Imam Mastur (white master 1 62 kg), Cornelia Tobing (blue adult 49 kg), M Ariq Noor (white adult 110 kg), and Ananda Mauludy Iksan (blue adult 56 kg). The two silver medals were achieved by Simone Julia (blue adult 62 kg) and Wahyu Handoko (blue juvenile 55 kg). Two bronze medals were achieved by Herman Saputra (white adult 94 kg) and Fikri Ramadhan (blue adult 62 kg). The achievement closed the training camp of Jiu-Jitsu national team in Japan which has been going on since 18 July. Quoted from BolaSport.com, the UAE Grand Slam Jiu Jitsu Championship 2018 was a try-out for Indonesian Jiu Jitsu athletes before facing Asian Games 2018. Jiu Jitsu at the Asian Games 2018 will be competed at the Jakarta Convention Center Assembly Hall on 24-26 August. There are 29 countries that send athletes to Jiu Jitsu branches. Indonesia will be represented by 16 athletes consisting of 12 men and 4 women. The Indonesian Jiu Jitsu team targets to get 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze at the Asian Games 2018.

Indonesia adds six representatives to third round of the Badminton World Championship 2018 held at Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, Nanjing, China on July 30-August 5. They are Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, Fajar Alfian / Muhammad Rian Ardianto, and Berry Angriawan / Hardianto from the men's doubles number. In addition, tehere are also Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu, Della Destiara Haris / Rizki Amelia Pradipta, and Anggia Shitta Awanda / Ni Ketut Mahadewi Istarani from the women's doubles. The addition fulfills the number of Red and White squad representatives in the third round to eight representatives. Indonesian athlete, Hurairah achieved brilliant achievement when competing at international level. Surprisingly, he brought two gold medals in Hapkido world championship held in Seoul, South Korea, on 26-29 July 2018. Hurairah who is 21 years old won a gold medal in two prestigious categories, namely Bop High Jump and Bop Long Jump. He competed with 300 other Hapkido athletes from 20 countries. The man born in Sibreh, Suka Makmur Sub-district, Aceh Besar District, Aceh on April 1, 1997, went to Korea with 15 other national athletes. He was taken by the official team and supported by a number of local parties. Unexpectedly, Hurairah won the gold medal in two categories at once. Hurairah told RRI in Banda Aceh on Wednesday (1/8) about his experience and he became the world champion of Hapkido after four days at Jung Gu Community Center, Seoul, South Korea. He felt very proud to beat athletes from a number of countries, even athletes from South Korea where the sport was invented. Even though the Hapkido has not been considered, Hurairah deserves being supported by the government. The reason is that he has to struggle hard, even having to pay his own expenses for transportation while competing. So far, the most prestigious achievement he achieved was wining the national gold medal in Yogyakarta. Then, the first winner and the best athlete at the Asian Hapkido championship held in Singapore in March 2018. Recently, he has won the world title in the Hapkido championship in South Korea. With the achievement by Hurairah, Indonesia has now completed the total medal acquisition, namely 13 gold and three silver medals. Hurairah hoped the Hapkido will soon become a sport that can compete with other sports. According to him, Hapkido is not registered at the National Sports Committee of Indonesia -KONI. Although Hapkido is not yet well known, Hurairah has elevated the dignity of the nation in the eyes of the world. So, he deserves receiving an extraordinary award from the government.

Japan National Team rider, Tatsumi Matsushita won Round 1 of Banyuwangi International BMX 2018 championship held on July 14, 2018 at Kedungrejo Muncar circuit. Tatsumi Matshushita beat two main riders of Indonesia: Tony Syarifudin and Rio Akbar who were in the second and third position respectively. Indonesian national team coach, Dadang Haries Purnomo said in Banyuwangi that Banyuwangi International BMX 2018 is a very important event for the national team before competing in the Asian Games because the results in Banyuwangi will be an evaluation for Indonesia to determine its strategy, and see the shortcomings of the athletes. Meanwhile in the Women Elite category, Thai national team racer, Amanda Carr won after beating Indonesia racer, Nopi Cupianti and Malaysian racer, Noor Quraataina who finished second and third respectively.

Indonesia won two titles at the Thailand Open 2018 World Tour Super 500 tournament from mixed doubles Hafiz Faizal / Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja and women's doubles Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu. Double mixed Hafiz / Gloria won after toppling the first main players from Britain, Chris Adcock / Gabrielle Adcock with score 21-12, 21-12 in the final that took place at Nimibutr Stadium on Sunday (15/7). While the Greysia / Apriyani pair won after defeating the Japanese pair, Ayaka Takahashi / Misaki Matsutomo with score 21-13, 21-10. Gloria who played in mixed doubles with Hafiz admitted being delighted with her first title after nine months in pairs with Hafiz. She hoped that her achievement with Hafiz can be consistent. While Apriyani claimed to have prepared mentally and focuses in the final. She along with Greysia appeared patient and not in a hurry to face the Japanese pair. Meanwhile, Greysia Polii presented a title of  Thailand Open title 2018 for Nitya Krishinda Maheswari who is injured. According to Greysia in All Indonesia Badminton Association –PBSI page, she dedicated the title to her former favorite partner, Nitya. May she recover quickly from her injury.

Indonesia bridge national team performed brilliantly with the overall titles in the championship "Windy City Regional Championship" which took place on July 10-14 in Chicago, USA. According to a press release received from the Executive Board of All Indonesia Bridge Association –PB GABGSI in Jakarta on Monday (16/7), the certainty of the overall champion is achieved after mixed team donated gold medal on the last day of the tournament. With that result, the Indonesian team is ready to face the Asian Games 2018 in August; the team grabbed four gold medals, one silver and one bronze. Previously, the other three gold medals were obtained from the men's team number, the super-mixed team, and the open pair. Silver medal was presented by men's team and bronze medal was achieved by pair Nunung Tri Yulianti / Nettin Erinda. Previously, Indonesia Bridge Team also performed impressively by winning the overall titles in two other championships, namely 36th International Bridge Festival Albena 2018 in Bulgaria (June 19-July 1) and Music City Summer Sectional Tournament on July 6-8 in Nashville City, USA. Chairman of the Bridge Alliance of Indonesia, Eka Wahyu Kasih said that during the trials in Europe and the United States, the Indonesian team was experiencing rapid technical and non-technical progress. The training from Polish world coach, Kristof Marten, greatly influenced the progress of technical performance of the national team game.

The success of Indonesian young runner, Lalu Muhammad Zohri who won the 100-meter sprint of the men's World Athletics Championship U-20 becomes one of the 10 best moments of the International Federation of Athletics Federations (IIAF). Zohri's name is among 10 other young athletes who are under the spotlight of the world championship under 20 years old, that took place in Tampere, Finland, July 10-15, 2018. Muhammad Zohri won the men's 100-meter sprint after recording the best time of 10.18 seconds in the final race and defeating two top runners from the United States of America: Anthony Schwartz and Eric Harrison, who both finished the race with a time of 10.22 seconds. IIAF also uploaded the highlight video of the 10 best moments The U-20 Athletic World Championship in their official twitter. The U-20 Athletic World Championship 2018 tinged with eight championship records, 11 world U-20 records and 90 national-level records of each participating country. At least, 43 participating countries entered the final standings of medals, of which 25 grabbed at least one gold.
