Head of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency, Triawan Munaf after the opening of Inacraft 2018 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta on Wednesday (25 April) said that he would advise the largest exhibition in Southeast Asia's in order not only to showcase Moroccan and Indonesian products, but also to create cooperation of Indonesian and Moroccan culture.
“Next year, Morocco will become Country Focus for Inacraft. I would suggest to Inacraft not only to exhibit Moroccan and Indonesian products but to create joint products between two countries several months earlier. To establish cultural acculturation should be classic products in next 20 years. So, this does not stop only with our ego towards our products. There must be joint culture,” Triawan Munaf said.
Triawan Munaf added that this exhibition aims to expand the market of Indonesian creative products in the domestic market, and create a meeting point of buying and selling transactions between producers and consumers. (VOI/Egy/RHM)
Infrastructure and economy have strong relations. Infrastructure is to not only create economic growth, but also to fasten transformation to be developed country. This was stated by Deputy Minister for Coordination of Infrastructure and Regional Development, at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Wahyu Utomo to media on the sidelines of the 3rd Thee Kian Wie Lecture Series, Infrastructure Development of Indonesia in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/04). He said that to get economic value, Indonesian government must apply Limited Concession Scheme -LCS to private sectors.
“Limited Concession Scheme has several projects. We want to try to give asset management to private sectors. They buy the rights to manage assets; they must give compensation to government by off-road payment used to build other new infrastructures. We have sent Presidential Regulation to Cabinet Secretary and let us see the realization,” Wahyu Utomo said.
Meanwhile, acting Chairman of Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI), Bambang Subiyanto said that through infrastructure development, Indonesia must be able to encourage competitive edge and boost economy. He further explained that Indonesia needs to learn about economic management, because historically, error in good economic management will result in multi-dimensional crisis. (VOI/AF/RHM)
Vice President, Jusuf Kalla encourages the handicraft industry to take advantage of electronic commerce (e-commerce) to improve the quality of its products. He views that by utilizing e-commerce, handicraft industry must meet standardization of quality and size, because many people in the future will buy goods by looking at the catalog.
“Handicraft must change by the existence of e-commerce. What to change is how to create goods with good quality and high standard. Buyers will buy via internet by seeing catalog,” said Vice President Jusuf Kalla in his speech at the International Handicraft -Inacraft 2018 exhibition in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta on Wednesday (25 April).
Vice President Jusuf Kalla further remarked that if there is no standard of quality and size, it is very difficult to include it in e-commerce system. President Joko Widodo calls for young Muslims to use the mosque as a means to strengthen ‘Silaturrahim’ or social ties and fraternity in Indonesia. This was stated by the President while attending the 13th National Congress of Youth Communication Board of the Indonesian Mosque in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/4).
In his remarks, President Joko Widodo said that the mosque as a means of worship for Muslims has the potential in a bid to strengthen unity of the nation. He remarked that the unity of the Ummah is a great capital to build Indonesian nation to become a great country with all the potential it has.
“To become a great economic country, Indonesia must get through many tests. We must get through all obstacles. Therefore, in this occasion, let us work together to preserve our beloved country. I am positive that Indonesia will reach its glory. Let’s spread brotherhood and unity through mosques,” President Joko Widodo said.
On the occasion, President Joko Widodo also mentioned that Indonesia is currently establishing closer relations with the Middle East countries. He said that Indonesia as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world has a strong basis to have a strong relationship with the countries in the Middle East. In addition to building stronger economic cooperation, Indonesia can also contribute to building peace in the world. The President exemplifies the role of Indonesia that has been chosen to mediate in the conflict in Afghanistan. The trust, according to the President, has been given by the President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani who has appointed Indonesia to be a mediator in resolving conflict in Afghanistan. (VOI/Ndy/RHM)
