Jakarta - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin drew attention to the threat posed by radicalism and Islamophobia that can spur sectarian conflict in a country for which the government has incessantly promoted social harmony among people.
"There should be no radicalism in Islam, nor Islamophobia akin to those in Western countries. These have the potential to spark conflict," Amin noted on the sidelines of the 3rd International Islamic Healthcare Conference and Expo (IHEX) 2020 in Jakarta on Saturday.
Indonesia has initiated an international meeting of religion leaders aimed at enhancing inter-religious harmony both in the country and abroad, the vice president stated.
"Indonesia is keen to establish global inter-religious harmony. Hence, we want to hold this meeting of world religious leaders," he remarked.
Amin expressed concern over the sectarian violence in India and was optimistic that the incident would be avoided in other countries.
"We are concerned about this situation. What happened in India has saddened all of us," he emphasized.
At least 38 people died, while over 200 others got injured in the violence against Muslims in New Delhi since Sunday.
The violence erupted over a citizenship law that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist government had introduced in December providing a path to Indian citizenship for six religious groups from neighboring countries but not Muslims. (ANTARA)

Jakarta - The SEOCON Conference 2020 event that presented a plethora of global and local experts of search engine optimization (SEO) was officially held at the Kasablanka Hall, Kasablanka City, Jakarta.
The event, held on February 26-27, is a place to share SEO-related knowledge that can be applied to build and develop a website.
The first day of the event entailed a conference or explanation on SEO, while a workshop was held on the second day.
The experts included Neil Patel (CrazyEgg, UberSuggest, KISSmetrics, Neil Patel Digital), Jon Earnshaw (Owner, Global CTO, and Co-Founder of Pi Datametrics & Intelligent Positioning), and Jono Alderson (Special Ops from Yoast).
"Now, Indonesia will have millions of sites as a result of technological developments that generate millions of traffic. I hope this conference would help in learning everything related to SEO," ToffeeDev Founder Ryan Krsto Muljono stated.
Muljono expounded that the SEACON 2020 is different as compared to the earlier SEOCON event.
"The SEACON 2020 features over 12 free workshops," he revealed.
SEOCON 2020 turned out to be the ideal event to define company policies, particularly in the digital ecosystem, which certainly required planning in accordance with up-to-date market trends and forecasting.
Apart from experienced speakers, attendees at this event also comprised several businesspersons from various business backgrounds.
"This will be a good opportunity to increase your business connection," he pointed out.
The conference also featured JS Carlos, Global SEO of Traveloka, who delivered lessons on how to use SEO followed by Fabian Lim from the Asia Search Engine Academy, and several other practitioners.
Carlos offered several suggestions, one of which pertained to strengthening the SEO signal. He opined that the SEO was the strongest when coalesced with other factors and aids.
Hence, companies need to apply a combination of aspects to ensure that SEO is able to generate high traffic and encourage companies to not depend on Google. (ANTARA)

Jakarta - India is currently in a safe and peaceful condition, Indian Ambassador to Indonesia Pradeep Kumar Rawat has said. "Everything is peaceful. And as it is known, the situation in India is under control. What I will convey to you, is a press release from our home minister for your reference," Rawat said following a meeting with Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD in Jakarta, Friday.
He also asked to not trust the news developing outside because it was being done for certain vested interests.
"And of course, we advise our friends to not believe false news that is being brought out by personal interests to mislead and by those trying to disrupt our country's diversity," he added.
As Indonesia has the spirit of Unity in Diversity, India also believes in the same principles, according to him.
"And there are a lot of personal and group interests that want to destroy it," he said.
Because, if one link is lost, then there is no India, there is no Indonesia, he continued.
"So, my friends, I tell you to be very careful and not believe fake news, thank you," he remarked.
The ambassador and Mahfud discussed bilateral relations between Indonesia and India during the meeting.
"We also discussed the security issues of Indonesia and India," he said.
