Two Indonesian migrant workers identified by their names as Mateus Seman and Milka Boimau, both originating from East Nusa Tenggara, have been found dead in Malaysia. Timoteus K. Suban, the Indonesian Migrant Workers Placement, Protection and Monitoring Agency (BP3TKI) Kupang chairman, informed ANTARA, in Kupang on Monday ( 13 March )  and he added "These two workers were dead because of their prolonged illness," 

Suban said that Seman was a resident of Gurung Liwut Village, Borong Subdistrict, Manggarai District, while Boimau was originated from Kotanes Village, Amarasi Subdistrict, Kupang District.

The agency, Suban noted, has just received the information on Saturday last week (March 10). The Malaysian authority stated that the two migrant workers have passed away earlier this month.The bodies of Seman and Boimau have been returned to their hometowns in East Nusa Tenggara on Sunday (March 11). Meanwhile, the agency also has noted that the two migrant workers had been illegally entered Malaysia. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wants Bogor Botanical Garden to be rearranged by improving its facilities so that it becomes more attractive.The President`s wish was conveyed by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Acting Chief Prof. Bambang Subiyanto after accompanying the President to sign the inscription on the Two Century of Bogor Botanical Garden and Palm Monument on Sunday.

"The official message of the president is that the the infrastructure of Bogor Botanical Garden should be improved, and the landscape should be re-arranged to make it more attractive," Subiyanto remarked after accompanying the president.

The President was specifically present to sign the inscription of the Two Century of Bogor Botanical Garden in front of Tugu Dua Abad, the bird singing competition located in the garden. Before signing the inscription, the President was seen talking with Subiyanto and the LIPI Life Science Deputy Prof. Enny Sudarmonowati in the company of Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya and Teten Masduki.

After the talks, the president signed the two inscriptions, and then invited all LIPI staff members to share together in front of Tugu Dua Abad, without giving information to the media crew.

According to Subiyanto in talks with the president, LIPI was asked to make the Botanical Garden of Singapore as a comparison in developing Bogor Botanical Garden more attractive again.

"The president wants the Bogor Botanical Garden to be as attractive as possible," he said.

In addition, the president also requested that the concrete fences in the Bogor Botanical Garden covered with plants so that it does not look concrete and iron fence (antara)

Tri Rismaharini (Risma), the mayor of Surabaya, is striving to make the East Java provincial capital the first creative city in Indonesia. Risma remarked in Surabaya on Sunday ( 11 March ),  that through the Startup Nation Summit from November 17-18, 2018, Surabaya will become the first creative city in the country.

"Surabaya has been well known in ASEAN and Asia but not yet in part of European countries and others, and so, the Startup Nation Summit will be the right moment to make it a creative city," Risma said.

According to her, Startup Nation Summit 2018 will look different from that of previous years. Therefore, the City Government of Surabaya plans to package the event with the nuances of today, called Innovation Creative Digital Industry).

Risma said the Startup Nation Summit that will will be attended by 183 delegates from various countries will be collaborated with digital creative industry event with millennial nuances.

The innovation creative event will present several agenda such as digital art, community activity, virtual reality, interactive game, innovation zone workshop, and music performance.

Risma said she will incorporate the Startup Nation Summit with creative digital agenda to realize Surabaya as the first creative city in Indonesia, to advance the startup world of Surabaya, and to bring this city to the world map. (antara)

 Indonesia is promoting maritime tourism potentials at the world`s largest tourist exhibition, ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Borse Berlin) held in Berlin, Germany on March 7-11, 2018. Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Arif Havas Oegroseno here on Friday said as an archipelagic country, Indonesia has great potentials in maritime tourism that is highly in demand by European tourists.

Oegroseno said he would explore potential markets for Indonesia`s maritime tourism and offer it to foreign tourists in the event which was participated in by about 10 thousand participants from 180 countries around the world and would be visited by at least 100,000 people.

According to Oegroseno, Indonesia`s participation in the tourism exhibition is aimed at introducing the national potential of maritime tourism, arts, cultures, diversity, and hospitality.

The ambassador said Bali has become a world-wide tourist attraction so that he hoped Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali could be like Soekarno Hatta airport in Cengkareng to facilitate tourists who want to visit the island.

Having many beautiful places, Indonesia is working to develop 10 new destinations located across the country. The 10 places are Borobudur in Central Java, Mandalika on Lombok Island (West Nusa Tenggara), Labuan Bajo in Flores (East Nusa Tenggara), Bromo-Tengger-Semeru in East Java, Thousand Islands in North Jakarta, Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Wakatobi in Southeast Sulawesi, Tanjung Lesung in Banten, Morotai in the northern region of Halmahera in the Maluku Islands and Tanjung Kelayang in Belitung (Bangka Belitung).
