Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno officially closed the 2023 Indonesian Creation Appreciation (AKI) activities and advised all participants to strengthen collaboration in presenting quality products as well as creating business opportunities and employment opportunities for society.
Menparekraf Sandiaga in his speech at the peak event of AKI 2023 in Senayan Park, Jakarta, Sunday (11/9/2023) evening, said that the big theme of one of the flagship programs of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf is collaboration.
"All this time we have been busy competing, we have forgotten that collaboration is our national identity and those who can collaborate will be able to produce achievements," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga.
Appreciation of Indonesian Creation is a creative economy development program through capacity building and exhibitions for creative economy players in the culinary, craft, fashion, applications/games, film and music subsectors, held in 16 cities/regencies in Indonesia.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga said that these collaborations had been emphasized to the participants during the implementation of AKI 2023. Starting from bootcamps to exhibitions in each city. Therefore, Sandiaga encourages this collaboration to continue to be strengthened.
Not only for creative actors, but also between the central government and regional governments as well as the private sector and other related parties.
"The Indonesian Creative Appreciation has traveled over the last six months in 16 districts/cities from 6 islands in Indonesia. We can see how proud products have decorated the Indonesian Creative Appreciation. A total of more than 7,000 creative creative actors have participated, there are 428 brands and 28 "The best is now in Senayan Park, showing that Indonesian products are not inferior and are not 'canned'," said Sandiaga.
This must be a momentum to encourage MSMEs to 'move up in class' as well as an effort to accelerate the economy through MSMEs.
"We see all the enthusiasm to bring this very empowering activity to open up opportunities for new consumers from new subsectors," he said.
The peak event of AKI 2023 will last for three days from 8-10 September 2023 by presenting selected creative economy MSME products from 16 districts/cities implementing AKI 2023.
According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Monday, in this event, participants from the incubation program and creative villages were also presented by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf to promote their products.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga appreciated the support from various parties, especially the community, because the implementation of the 2023 MMR peak had exceeded the projected target. The transaction value of MSMEs has reached IDR 400 million and is expected to continue to increase.
"And three participants from the film subsector received collaboration with the Indonesian online cinema OTT platform for their film works," said Sandiaga.

The Head of National Library receiving an award from the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, DKI Jakarta, Ibnu Chuldun in Jakarta -
The award was given to the National Library as a Working Partner who has increased Literacy for Inmates in Prisons and Detention Centers as well as students in Special Children's Development Institutions (LPKA). The National Library received this award because it also provides guidance and assistance to correctional inmates in terms of literacy.
The award was received by the Director of the National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando, from the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, DKI Jakarta, Ibnu Chuldun, in the art performance activity "Darma Bakti to Eve" which was held by the Technical Implementation Unit for Correctional Centers (UPT Bapas) throughout DKI Jakarta in the National Library Auditorium, Floor 2, Jalan Medan. South Merdeka, Monday (11/9/2023).
This activity was held to celebrate the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence and Darma Karya Dika Day of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej said that based on Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections, fathers have important duties and functions in terms of guiding various aspects, including the arts. Thus, aspects of art that were initially secondary or a hobby have now turned into a large industry, especially as a nation's cultural identity.
"We understand very well that the task of the father is not an easy one because he has to ensure that the inmates who return to society are accepted, then not only accepted but also do not repeat criminal acts, and after that they must be of benefit to society," he said.
According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia, the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights expressed his appreciation for the activities which were carried out in a grand and lively manner, and involved clients and correctional inmates.
He hopes that creation and guidance in the arts can be carried out consistently, so that he can produce great creators, dancers and musicians in the future.
“I appreciate what my colleagues at the fathers in the DKI Jakarta area are doing. "Activities like this must be supported and if possible be carried out every year as a form of refreshing and showing the creativity of clients and correctional inmates," he said.
This art performance presents a series of dance performances, songs and a film screening entitled "To Eve". The film provides an opportunity for the invited guests present to recognize the importance of children and women in their contribution to every aspect of life in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Bintang Puspayoga appreciated the activities held by UPT Bapas throughout DKI Jakarta. He believes that guiding and developing are noble deeds that are full of meaning, especially as a form of service to the nation and humanity at large with full sincerity.

The Indonesian Sustainability Forum (ISF), one of the largest global events on sustainability issues in the Asia Pacific, closed with the signing of a series of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) that will contribute to a faster green energy transition and inclusive economy in Indonesia on Friday (8/9 /2023) at Park Hyatt Jakarta.
Around 2,000 people from 41 countries attended the two-day meeting, including a number of high-ranking government officials such as the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape, heads of global organizations such as the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, and the President World Bank, Ajay Banga.
The Indonesian government, through the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves), is hosting ISF 2023, in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia).
Deputy for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Rachmat Kaimuddin, said that the large interest of the participants indicated that there was a positive shift in this region to support the sustainability agenda. More than 100 speakers from the business, civil society and government sectors participated in 10 plenary sessions and 14 thematic sessions at ISF 2023. ISF plenary sessions discussed various issues ranging from the green energy and technology transition, biodiversity protection, as well as the downstreaming of critical mineral industries for decarbonization.
ISF 2023 also features 14 thematic sessions on issues such as circular economy, international cooperation, clean air management, green financing, and others.

Minister Sandiaga Uno during a Minangkabau Halal Festival -
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno appreciated the holding of the Minangkabau Halal Festival which will strengthen the city of Padang, West Sumatra as the epicenter of world halal products.
"We must become the epicenter of world halal products and we make Padang a creator of business opportunities and jobs through the Minangkabau Halal Festival, and MSME participants are empowered," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Andiaga when visiting the Minangkabau Halal Festival at the Padang State University (UNP) Auditorium. Sandiaga said that the event, which will be held on 8-10 September 2023, will involve many MSME actors in Padang and surrounding areas, especially students.
