President Joko Widodo inaugurated Indonesian Military (TNI) and Police (Polri) officers in the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday morning, July 19, 2018. A total of 724 officers who were inaugurated consisted of 225 from the Military Academy, 102 from the Naval Academy, 119 from the Air Force Academy, and 278 from the Police Academy. The president who acted as the ceremonial inspector congratulated all the officers he had just inaugurated. He understood that the struggle of the cadets before being sworn in today was very hard. The head of state said the inauguration of these officers was not the ultimate goal they had achieved. It is a beginning for their journey and devotion to the country. The President also gave an appreciation and pinned the rank of officers to the four recipients of Adhi Makayasa award for the best graduates. The four are Rovi Ardya Prawira from the military academy, Faishal Djauheri from the naval Academy, Summa Laras Fatsagunar from the Air Force Academy, and Dolly Septian from the Police Academy.
