Saudi Arabia also emphasized the need for the emergency UN Security Council meeting to prevent Israel from launching a humanitarian disaster.
Meanwhile, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron on Saturday (10/2) expressed his concern with Israel's land assault plan against Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.
On X, Cameron added that "the priority must be an immediate pause in the fighting to get aid in and hostages out". And, it should "progress towards a sustainable, permanent ceasefire".
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday (9/2) instructed Israeli armed forces to make a plan to evacuate civilians from the crowded city ahead of the attack against four remaining Hamas battalions.
The Rafah attack plan would pile up more bodies to the existing foundations of this war. Plain as day, the plan showed Israel's intention to erase Palestinians from the face of this earth.
Rafah has been the final shelter for Palestinians because of the war. Currently, 1.4 million Palestinians are sheltering in Rafah.
The plan of attack on Rafah also strengthened the genocide allegation of Israel against Palestine. While, according to the International Court of Justice's ruling, Israel must prevent any acts categorized as genocide in Palestine. Israel must also process and punish anyone provoking genocide in Palestine, and Israel must facilitate humanitarian aid coming to Palestine.
It was regrettable that Israel can pay no heed to the International Court of Justice without any sanction. The world, especially the United Nations, must act to immediately stop Israel's cruelty and genocide against Palestinians. (Trans: Steve/Post: Rama)
