VOINews, Jakarta: A mobile clinic from the people of Indonesia, delivered through the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia, has officially started providing medical services to Palestinian refugees at Al Sukhneh Camp, Al Zarqa, Jordan. This initiative is part of Baznas’s commitment to offer accessible healthcare to refugees who have been deprived of adequate medical services, the agency announced on Saturday.
Noor Achmad, the Chairman of Baznas Indonesia, expressed that the mobile clinic aims to ease the burden of Palestinian refugees by providing essential healthcare. “This mobile clinic represents one of Baznas’s humanitarian missions that extend beyond Indonesia. We are also paying attention to the conditions of Muslims and other international communities in need,” he said. The mobile clinic is equipped with basic healthcare facilities and staffed by medical professionals, offering much-needed support to the Palestinian refugees.
Achmad highlighted that this initiative is a small step toward making a significant impact, especially for Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Jordan, as well as local residents in need of healthcare. He extended gratitude to the Jordanian government and humanitarian organizations for their support, as well as to Baznas’s partners, who played a crucial role in realizing this program.
“The success of any humanitarian initiative relies heavily on strong partnerships among organizations, governments, and the people,” he added, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in social and humanitarian projects. Achmad believes that this mobile clinic symbolizes more than just medical aid—it embodies the spirit of mutual cooperation and compassion shared by the Indonesian people toward global communities facing humanitarian crises.
