Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the near future will launch a smart phone application or smartphone to improve the service and protection of Indonesian citizens abroad. The applications namely Safe Travel is specifically aimed at the citizens who are visiting or traveling abroad. After going through a one-year trial process the app will be launched on 14 April 2018.

“To improve the service and protection of Indonesian citizens abroad, our  product, namely Safe Travel, which is intended for the market segment is for the traveler. It combines between two applications that are responsible and fun. So, the motto is responsibly fun. This application have been tested for a year. Now, Alhamdulillah the application is ready in full version of Android and IOS. So, the full version on April 14 will be launched by Indonesian Foreign Minister,” said Director of Protection of Indonesian Citizens and Legal Entity. Lalu Muhammad Iqbal in his press conference on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 in Jakarta.

Lalu Muhammad Iqbal added to access the application Safe Travel, Indonesian citizens must register themselves using their e-mail account and social media. In general, the application consists of eight main features namely, country info, travel list, insurance, tips, appeal, services, fun facts, and galleries that will appear on the main page. In addition, the application also features a panic button and the closest Indonesian representative information required by Indonesian citizens in an emergency state. The Safe Travel application also allows its users to share the latest information in the countries they visit and communicate directly with other users and the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. President Joko Widodo hoped Indonesia's doubles pair of the world's number one Badminton players, Kevin Sanjaya and Marcus Gideon can maintain their best performance in Asian Games 2018. This was stated by Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nachrowi after accompanying Kevin/Marcus to meet President Joko Widodo at Merdeka palace, in Jakarta, on Monday (2/4). Imam Nachrowi said that the best achievement of Marcus Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya, Indonesia's doubles pair of the world's number one in All England in March 2018, received high appreciation from President Joko Widodo. The President also pays attention to the preparation of the two players.

“Mr. President continues to give spirit so that they can maintain their performances and give their best in Asian Games 2018. Mr. President also asked the things which have been conducted both in national training and in their clubs.  Kevin from Djarum, and Marcus from Tangkas. The president also asked about their training process until they entered into national training. Even, the President also asked abput their competitor countries in the region, especially in Asia at the Asian Games in 2018,” Imam Nachrowi said.

Meanwhile, Kevin Sanjaya mentioned that the meeting with President Jokowi has given motivation to them so that they can give their best in the next Asian Games. On the occasion, Marcus also stated that preparation will continue to be conducted not only for Asian Games 2018,  but also for other competitions, such as Thomas Cup 2018. Indonesia's doubles pair Kevin Sanjaya and Marcus Gideon have recently become the champion in the prestigious world badminton competition, All England 2018. Indonesian Ministry of Industry is the host of the Exhibition of Prisoners Featured Products. The exhibition themed "Unlimited creativity, albeit limited space" lasts for three days on 3-6 April 2018 at Indonesian Ministry of Industry, Jakarta. The exhibition was officially opened by three cabinet ministers namely Indonesian Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesian Trade Minister Enggartiarso Lukita, and Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasona Laoly. After opening the exhibition, Indonesian Minister of Industry of Airlangga Hartarto told reporters that one of the markets has been targeted to promote inmates products who had been fostered is online market through the "marketplace".

“Almost everything, as well as the ministry has done training for e-commerce. Of course, it is connected with prisoners products which have been produced sustainably. Well, one of them was delivered earlier, the gel pen. So, they will produce continuously. Of course, with the e-commerce they just sell their product and list it in the marketplace,” Airlangga Hartarto said.

In addition to marketing the products of prisoners' work through the "marketplace", according to Airlangga Hartarto, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry continues to develop a coaching pattern, whether related to technical guidance, equipment assistance, and business management assistance. Chairman of People’s Consultative Assembly, Zulkifli Hasan attended taking oath ceremony of the new chairman of Constitutional Court, Anwar Usman in Jakarta, on Monday (2/4). Zulkifli Hasan told the press that he believed Anwar Usman is able to conduct his duty well. According to Zulkifli, the heaviest challenge of the chairman is to settle disputes of regional head election 2018 and presidential election 2019 which needs fair decision-making.

 

“Challenges, off course, there is regional head election, presidential election. We give support, for the success. We pray and I believe he is able to conduct his duty well,” Zulkifli Hasan said.

 

Anwar Usman was elected as chairman of constitutional court for 2018-2020 period replacing Arief Hidayat through voting by nine constitutional judges. All constitutional judges, except Arief Hidayat, have rights to be elected and to elect, namely Anwar Usman, Maria Farida, Wahiduddin Adams, Aswanto, I Gede Pasek Palguna, Suhartoyo, Manahan Sitompul, and Saldi Isra.
