Revitalization planning of Grand Inna Bali Beach Sanur has started on Friday (29/6). The planning is to make Grand Inna Bali Beach becoming icon and state’s hotel in Sanur. According to commissioner council of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN), Michael Umbas, the revitalization is follow-up of President Joko Widodo’s direction on his visit to Grand Inna Bali Holle and stayed overnight on August 3, 2017. On the occasion, the president asked Grand Inna Bali Beach Hotel and other state own enterprises’ hotel can be able to compete to promote tourism sector in Indonesia. Michael Umbas said through press release on Saturday (30/6) that the seriousness of the president until asking the detail things on hotel development concept shows a high commitment. That is, for a state-owned hotel can play a maximum role in supporting tourism. It is proved that the president’s commitment can be implemented and conducted on Saturday. With the planning, Grand Inna Bali Beach will be developed to be 'Hotel Indonesia Bali' which consists of convention center which is completed with accommodation facility, art market and enriched with eco-park that becomes own attraction. Executive Director of PT HIN,  Iswandi Said stated that as follow up of the planning, in the near future after the fulfillment of permit aspects, his office will conduct ground breaking. The planning of ground breaking will be conducted on October 2018.  

Acting Governor of South Sulawesi, Soni Sumarsono said that Cheng Ho mosque which has Chinese typical architecture is pluralism miniature in Indonesia. Soni when attending Halal Bi Halal or in English means Gathering to ask for forgiveness of Indonesia-China Islamic Association and  H. M. Cheng Hoo Foundation, said  in Gowa regency, South Sulawesi on Saturday that the mosque is unique; the existence of the mosque is pluralism miniature in Indonesia. Cheng Ho mosque has its own characteristics compared with other mosques in general, because it combines Middle East and Chinese nuance and Bugis-Makassar culture, so that it becomes a nice attraction for Muslim community to pray at the mosque. Cheng Hoo Foundation is also building integrated Islamic educational facility with the budget worth around Rp15 billion rupiah.  In regard to this, Soni asked to Gowa regency along with regional government of South Sulawesi to take part. Meanwhile, chairman of the foundation,  Achmad Fran Sudictar said that Cheng Ho mosque is real evidence that tolerance among religious followers  is well preserved in South Sulawesi. 

Researcher of Bung Hatta University mentioned that turtle population on the waters of West Sumatera province is expected to reach 30 thousands. The active researcher, Harfiandri Damanhuri said in Padang, on Saturday that it is population number of adult turtles which enter into West Sumatera waters and landed and spawned at 124 locations. Harfiandri Damanhuri explained that the protected population landed and spawned at the beach and small islands are dominated by three species, namely green, hawksbill and leatherback turtle.  Harfiandri Damanhuri also said that international party noted that there are 7 species of protected turtle and six, among others in Indonesia. From the six species, four species of the turtle are on West Sumatera Waters.  The researchers have begun to be serious conducting research on the turtle since 1999, especially in south coastal regency, Pariaman city, Agam and West Pasaman. Harfiandri explained in 2004 began to become serious attention from Maritike and Fishery Office of West Sumatera and in 2005 there was nationally determination of turtle’s conservation area in West Sumatera. Thus, the government built infrastructure on Karabak Island, South Coast and also Pariaman city and Mentawai regency. Development of infrastructure of turtle’s conservation has given impact on economy for society and the increasing of population. Another impact of the conservation has also increased tourism branding in Minang. Even, the turtle’s conservation has been visited by tourists from 65 countries in the world.

July 1, 2018, Police of the Republic of Indonesia -Polri commemorate their 72nd anniversary. Being old enough, the police have passed a long journey and recorded a lot of satisfying achievement. At the beginning of their establishment, the Police were named ‘State Department Police’ and under the Ministry of Home Affairs administratively. As for the operational matters, the Police were under the Attorney General. On July 1, 1946 with the governmental regulation No. 11/1946, the ‘State Department Police’ were directly responsible to the Prime Minister. Thus, July 1st is annually commemorated as the anniversary of the Police or known as Bhayangkara Day. Polri as state institution play a major role in maintaining security and public order. They have direct role in enforcing the law, and providing protection,  and service to the public, especially maintaining domestic security. Currently, the duties of the Police are increasingly tested, especially in the face of extraordinary crimes such as the threat of terrorism, drug trafficking, and corruption. In facing the threat of terrorism, in addition to synergy with the Indonesian National Armed Forces -TNI, the Police also have an elite force –so-called Special Detachment 88. This unit has been specifically trained as anti-terrorism and has the ability to overcome terrorist disturbances ranging from bomb threats to hostage. Drug problems are also part of Police duties. On December 2017, Police Assessment Institute (Lemkapi) released a satisfaction level survey of Police performance during 2017. Lemkapi Executive Director, Edi Hasibuan said that there is an increase in public confidence in security policy. Approximately 68.5 percent of the public expressed their satisfaction. Police are also considered successful in establishing synergy and coordination with TNI. Achievements and service innovations in these areas make people more comfortable. It’s worth being grateful that the performance and image of Polri are increasingly appreciated by the public. Public opinion on police’s performance signifies great optimism despite there are still some shortcomings. Congratulations on the anniversary of Indonesian Police!

The external factor, global economic uncertainty is increasingly pressuring Indonesia. Despite strong domestic economic fundamentals, efforts to boost Indonesia's economy will be heavier this year. External factors, among others, the increasing of USA-China trade wars, and China's economic growth which is expected to weaken to 6.5 percent this year, India and European Union trade barriers, as well as the hike of world crude oil prices. The influence of external factors, among others, is reflected in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar and the Composite Stock Price Index. Director of Center for Reform on Economic, Muhamad Faisal, told Kompas yesterday (28/6) that the hike of world crude oil prices, trade barriers, and commodity price’s uncertainty make Indonesia's trade balance deficit. The hike of US central bank , the Fed interest rate which responded by Bank Indonesia by raising the benchmark interest rate will raise the credit rate. If lending rates rise, the real sector will be heavier in driving the domestic economy. From that indicator alone, it is difficult for Indonesia to develop its economic growth. Chief economist of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero), Winang Budoyo, said that currently Bank Indonesia is predicted to prioritize rupiah stability rather than economic growth.

Supporting parties Joko Widodo continues to consolidate the presidential election -Pilpres 2019. They assess the results of elections of regional heads - pilkada 2018 simultaneously can be a political capital to strengthen the coalition that brings Jokowi two more periods. This was revealed after the Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, held a meeting with the chairman of the DPP United Development Party in the office of United Development Party, Jakarta yesterday (28/6). According to him, the meeting was important after the result of elections was reported. The increase of political capital needs to be followed up by concrete steps, including intense communication between the chairman and the president. Airlangga suggested that the coalition supporting Jokowi should be confirmed as soon as possible. Airlangga added that there is an opportunity for other political parties to join.

The result of 2018 regional head elections is predicted to strengthen President Joko Widodo's chances in the presidential election next year. The quick count of survey institutions shows that the pair of candidates for governors who are nominated by the parties supporting Jokowi controlled 10 of the 17 provinces. Director of Saiful Mudjani Research & Consulting Sirojudin Abbas said on Tuesday (26/6/2018) that many regional heads supported by the government-backed party represented a map of the 2019 presidential election. He said the gubernatorial election showed the strengthening of Jokowi's supporters. Statement of supports to Jokowi presented by the regional head candidates also added the opportunity.

Ichiro Robot Soccer Team from Sepuluh November Institute (ITS) who represented the Indonesian youth team won in the Robocup 2018 in Montreal, Canada, held on June 16-22, 2018.At the Robocup championship 2018in Montreal,Ichiro ITS Team won four awards categories at once, namely:

1. First Winner of Robot Soccer Teen Size Category after in the final defeated Iran Team with a score of 3 – 0.

2.Second Winner of Technical Challenge Teen Size Category.

3. Second Winner of Drop in Games Teen Size Category.

4. Third winner of Best Humanoid Robot Soccer for all categories.

Exploring Archipelago Bicycle or Jelajah Sepeda Nusantara (JSN) 2018 which is one of the objectives for the socialization of Asian Paragames 2018 is ready to be held and the activities of Let’s Sports program will start from Indonesia-Malaysia border in Entikong, West Kalimantan, Saturday (30/6).Deputy for Sport Culture Ministry of Youth and Sport, Raden Isnanta in Jakarta, Thursday (28/6) said the general preparation has been going well and the JSN team has been formed and ready to carry out their duties.He added the riders are the government ambassadors in charge of inviting the community to love more sports, through the big theme “Let’s Sports”.The JSN Team consisted of 15 riders. They are Alfian Zulfajrin (West Sulawesi), Dede Supriatna (West Java), Fito Bakdo Prilanji (West Kalimantan), Isnaeni Ikhsan QS (West Java), Lioe Irwan (Central Java), Sujadi (West Java), Marta Mufreni (Jakarta) as the Road Captain. Then in women’s category, there are Darna (South Sulawesi), Gita Widya Yunika (East Java), Henny Kurniasih (Lampung), Mitya Fitriana (West Java), Ni Made Dwi Puspasari (Bali), Nina Puspawardhani (Central Java), Susi Suryati (West Java), and Yuni Indah Lestari (East Java). They willcover a distance of 6,500 km and finish in Bali.

According to Isnanta, cycling is one of the proper means to socialize the program Let’s Sports and Asian Paragames 2018.On the other hand, the JSN team 2018 will involve the public and the sports community in the mission of campaigning Let’s Sportsas well as explore the richness of traditional sports along the route through Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Java and finish in Bali.

Indonesian Karate National Team is optimistic can pass athletes to compete in the Youth Olympics that will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 6-18, 2018.Coach of Karate National Team, Mursalim Badoo from Makassar, Monday, said the athletes are expected to show their best ability when competing in the Youth Olympics qualifying round in Croatia, June 29-30, 2018.He explained the national team relied on the top five karateka to compete the tickets for competing in Youth Olympics 2018.The five athletes who are expected to win the tickets are Anggraeni, Melza (Jakarta), Herawati (Central Java), Yudha (East Java), and Muh Arsal (South Sulawesi).All athletes have also been matured at a national training camp in Jakarta in order to keep the opportunity to win the tickets while competing in the Youth Olympics 2018.
