The Presidentsaid while visiting Kupang State Vocational Senior High School 3, in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara on Monday (8/1) that the funds in the card should be used in accordance with its functions, namely to buy uniforms, shoes, books, and school bags, and not to buy phone pulse. Flanked by Indonesian Education and Culture Minister and the Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, the president symbolically distributed 1,148 cards for local students. Indonesian Smart Cards provide Rp1 million for senior high school students, Rp750 thousand for junior high schools, and Rp450 thousand for elementary schools per year. The money is for the students to buy school stationary, bags, and uniforms. He remarked that children must study diligently, the study hours should be increased, because their main task is to study.
