"So we have to support the government to implement the energy transition. This increases the portion of the NRE mix," Syarif told reporters on Sunday (16/10/2022).

Furthermore, Syarif revealed, in 2021, the realization of the EBT mix will only reach 11.5 percent. This is still very far from the target as stipulated in PP 79/2014.

"The target in 2025 is at least 23 percent of the NRE portion. And in 2050 it will be at least 31 percent," he said.

Therefore, Democrat Party politicians hope that the government can take advantage of the existing situation as well as possible. Considering that Indonesia has abundant potential energy resources, especially the potential for renewable energy in various regions.
