The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) ensured that the G20 Summit was held safely and smoothly. The title of TNI troops is carried out by three dimensions, namely the TNI AD, TNI AL, and TNI AU. The Indonesian Navy has prepared 12 Republic of Indonesia Warships (KRI) to secure the G20 Summit.
"This is to secure the country's leaders, so we must really prepare ships that are ready for combat," Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL), Admiral Yudo Margono said in a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Monday (31/10/2022).
The deployment of troops was also carried out by the Indonesian Air Force at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, on Friday (28/10/2022). Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU), Air Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo said the activities of the G20 Presidency on 15-16 November 2022 made Indonesia the center of international attention. In this G20 Presidency, the Indonesian Air Force has the task of securing the airport, the aerodrome, the movement of state aircraft, and escorting the VVIP.
"For this reason, all Indonesian Air Force personnel who are involved must prepare themselves, understand their duties and master every given procedure, and be able to display the best performance, especially in the tasks of securing the G20 Presidency, and the task of state defense in the air," said Fajar.
The security readiness was also conveyed by the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman.
"For that, we help security and support the government so that this activity runs successfully and smoothly," said Dudung.
In addition to the readiness of the troops, TNI Headquarters sent 252 Units of Battery-Based Electric Vehicles (KLBB) to support the activities of the Summit. The electric vehicle consists of 42 units of escort cars consisting of 12 units of the Hyundai Ioniq type and 30 units of the Hyundai Ioniq Five type produced in 2022 from South Korea.
Meanwhile, 126 units of escort motorbikes and 84 units of rescue motorbikes equipped with helmets, jackets, pants, shoes and gloves are the Zero SRFM brand produced in 2022 from the United States.

The delivery of the KLBB to Bali was carried out on October 28, 2022. For the four-wheeled KLBB it was sent by sea using the KRI Tanjung Kambani-971, and for the two-wheeled KLBB it was sent by land using a trailer.
Previously, the TNI Commander, General Andika Perkasa said that the TNI had deployed thousands of soldiers to ensure the safety of the heads of state and delegates who would attend the G20 Summit in Bali, November 15-16, 2022.
Of the total 18,030 personnel involved, the TNI dominates with more than 14 thousand personnel. The rest came from the police and other institutions, namely 3,200 from the National Police and 492 from other institutions.
