The candidate for TNI Commander, Admiral Yudo Margono, is expected to realize President Jokowi's vision. This was conveyed by DPR Commission I member Bobby Adhityo.

According to him, there are various issues that will be explored for the Candidate for TNI Commander while undergoing the fit and proper test in the DPR. One of them is related to President Jokowi's vision of realizing Indonesia as the world's maritime axis.

"Of course, how about the explanation regarding efforts to increase the professionalism of the TNI organization and soldiers with all their limitations, and fulfillment of defense posture. Mainly is a form of support for President Jokowi's vision in realizing Indonesia as the world's maritime axis," said Bobby to reporters, Thursday (1/12/2022 ).

Apart from that, he said, the Candidate for TNI Commander can maintain security in the Three New Provinces of Papua. Namely South Papua, Central Papua and Mountain Papua.

"Also efforts to maintain the situation in Papua which has just been developed in general," he said. He believes the due diligence process at Commission I of the DPR will not encounter any obstacles.

"Because this is fit and proper, more forward looking, not an assessment test. Because all of his qualifications have been fulfilled when he was still the Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL)," he said.

Commission I of the DPR RI plans to hold a fit and proper test for the Candidate for TNI Commander, Friday (2/12/2022). The plan was carried out after a decision was made by the Deliberative Body (Bamus DPR RI).

Previously, President Joko Widodo officially appointed KSAL Yudo Margono as a candidate for TNI commander. The president's letter (surpres) regarding the replacement of the TNI Commander was sent by State Secretary Pratikno to DPR Speaker Puan Maharani. (RRI)
