The Indonesian government is exploring cooperation in the field of halal product assurance with New Zealand, with the aim of becoming a leader in the global halal industry by 2024. Discussion regarding this collaboration was one of the topics of discussion at the Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi's meeting with New Zealand's Minister of Agriculture Hon Damien O 'Connor in New Zealand.
Zainut in a written statement received on Tuesday hopes that the two countries can immediately follow up the talks that have been held into a more concrete cooperation agreement. Zainut said that there are many opportunities for cooperation in guaranteeing halal products that can be carried out with New Zealand, one of which is related to the supply of halal meat. He hopes that the halal product guarantee cooperation that is carried out can provide benefits for the two countries. (Antaranews)
