Jakarta (voinews.id): Indonesia has confirmed that it will invite non-political representatives of Myanmar to the ASEAN summit in May 2023. Indonesia will also invite Myanmar to the ASEAN foreign ministerial meeting which will be held February 3-4. For ASEAN foreign ministerial summits and meetings, the representatives of Myanmar who were invited were at the non-political level.

So there is a face-to-face invitation, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi at the Office of the National Defense Institute (Lemhanas), Wednesday (1.2). Retno said that this invitation was an improvement compared to the 2021 ASEAN Summit. At that time, Myanmar did not send any representatives at all, including non-political representatives, to Indonesia as the host.
