VOInews, Jakarta: The Ministry of Manpower held a Business Matching of Overseas Apprenticeship Organizers with Supervising Organizations in Nagoya, Japan, on Tuesday (7/11/2023). According to an official statement from the Ministry of Manpower on Tuesday, the event was held to enhance cooperation between Sending Organizations in Indonesia and Supervising Organizations in Japan.

Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah appreciated the collaboration between the Ministry's Directorate General of Binalavotas with Kyodai Remittance and the Association of Overseas Apprenticeship Organizers (AP2LN). She hopes that this activity can improve the quality of sending apprenticeship program participants to Japan from Indonesia.

"I hope that from the apprenticeship program to Japan, Indonesia has competent human resources and is able to compete at the global level," said Ida Fauziyah.

He also said that currently 393 registered Sending Organizations have sent their participants to Japan to join the apprenticeship program. Meanwhile, based on data as of October 31, 2023, there are 1,967 Supervising Organizations with Excellence Standards and only 961 Excellence category Supervising Organizations have cooperated with Sending Organizations in Indonesia.

"There are still many opportunities for Sending Organizations in Indonesia to increase cooperation with Supervising Organizations in Japan," she said.

Ida revealed that the apprenticeship program to Japan has attracted many people, especially young Indonesians, besides that many companies in Japan need apprentices, including from Indonesia.

"Hopefully more and more of the workforce, especially young Indonesians, will have the opportunity to become apprentices in Japan," she concluded.
