VOI moves one of its shortwave frequencies today

VOInews, Jakarta: One of the Voice of Indonesia (VOI) shortwave radio frequencies moved starting this Monday (13/5/2024). The international radio station of the Indonesian public broadcaster, Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) moved its frequency from 4750 to 4755 kHz.

Previously, VOI had conveyed this frequency shift in its social media post last Sunday (5/5/2024). It was stated that VOI would change frequencies starting at 00.00 UTC. However, the other frequency, 3325 kHz, is unchanged.

 

"Voice of Indonesia, the Overseas Service of Radio Republik Indonesia (VOI RRI) will carry out an adjustment on our shortwave frequency starting Monday, 13 May 2024 at 00:00 UTC," wrote the official VOI Instagram account @voi__official, which also posted to Facebook page The Voice of Indonesia.

 

In its post, VOI hopes listeners will understand the frequency shift. The station also hopes for listener feedback, which can be submitted to its social media accounts.

Currently, VOI is one of the radio stations in the world that still operates via shortwave. Besides that, VOI broadcasts can be enjoyed on its online streaming at www.voinews.id and the RRI Digital mobile application.

 

Currently VOI broadcasts in 9 languages, including English, Indonesian, Arabic, and Dutch. There are also services in Japanese, German, Mandarin, French, and Spanish.
