Indonesian students in Tokyo participate in disaster mitigation training from the Japanese government Featured

Students from the Indonesian School of Tokyo participated in disaster mitigation training on Friday (10/25), aimed at increasing awareness and preparedness for disasters. The training was held by the Japanese government in collaboration with the Meguro City Government and is fully supported by the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo.

 

Coordinator of the Socio-Cultural Information Function of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo, Muhammad Al Aula, while attending the activity, emphasized the importance of the involvement of Indonesian School of Tokyo students in this training. It is expected to provide knowledge and skills that are useful for students in emergency situations.

 

According to him, disaster mitigation training is important to be carried out together in an effort to reduce the number of victims in a disaster. He hopes that the knowledge of disaster mitigation obtained can be disseminated to the wider community, especially in Indonesia.

 

Muhammad Al Aula also hopes that similar training can continue to be conducted routinely every year. He added that the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo is ready to cooperate with related parties in Japan in socializing disaster mitigation. Socialization is provided not only for students of the Indonesian School of Tokyo but also for all Indonesian citizens living in Japan.

 

The training activities were not only held at the Indonesian School of Tokyo but also at Rinshi-no-Mori Park, Meguro, Tokyo. The students received socialization when facing earthquakes and fires.

 

The disaster mitigation training not only involved students and educators but also parents of students.
