Business relations between Indonesia and China continue to improve. As a result, many companies from both countries cooperate with each other in investment and other businesses.
To strengthen the relationship, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou opened the China-Indonesia Two Countries Investment Service Centre and Consultation Station at Twin Park in Terminal 2 International Departure of Baiyun Airport, Guangzhou, China.
The establishment of this consultation station aims to further promote such cooperation. The platform is a bridge to provide easier and more efficient consulting services for enterprises from both countries, as well as support deeper development in investment and cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia.
The establishment of this consultation station not only builds a more practical bridge for the economic and trade relations between the two countries, but also injects new vitality and hope for the future development of Sino-Indonesian friendly relations.
Quoted from Jawa Pos, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou, Ben Perkasa Drajat emphasised that the establishment of the Indonesian Investment Service Centre and the China-Indonesia Two Countries, Twin Parks Consultation Station, is an important step in strengthening investment cooperation between China and Indonesia. According to Ben Perkasa, economic relations between China and Indonesia already have a strong foundation, with bilateral trade value reaching 129 billion US dollars, with more than 20 percent coming from the southern region of China.
Ben Perkasa added that more than a third of China's large-scale investments in Indonesia come from the southern region of China. This phenomenon emphasises the importance of the region in contributing to foreign investment.
Meanwhile, General Manager of Baiyun Guangzhou Co., Ltd., Luo Shupeng, emphasised that Baiyun Airport has always been committed to providing convenient and efficient services for international economic and trade cooperation. According to Luo Shupeng, this consultation station is not only an important achievement in deepening China-Indonesia relations, but also part of efforts to improve the international service level of Baiyun Airport.
Chen Riling said the decision to set up the Baiyun Airport ‘Two Countries, Twin Parks’ Indonesian Investment Service Centre and China-Indonesia Consultation Station will significantly improve the efficiency of information access for enterprises of both countries, as well as provide better services in market analysis and policy interpretation.
Chen further explained that industrial estates in China, centred on Fuzhou Yuanhong Investment Zone, and industrial estates in Indonesia, including Batang Integrated Industrial Estate, complement each other and collaborate to create new flagship projects in the form of Belt and Road innovation.
In particular, the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate in the Two Countries, Twin Parks project, has signed a land agreement with a total area of 98 hectares, which is expected to attract 200 companies in the next 2 to 3 years and create 200,000 jobs.
In addition, the project aims to build an industrial base of more than 10 million square meters in the next 5 years. Since its launch in 2021, the Two Countries, Twin Parks project has given new impetus to investment cooperation in industrial parks while building a solid foundation for future development.
