VOI News: Indonesian Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu receives US Defense Secretary James Mattis' visit in an honorary ceremony at Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Jakarta, Tuesday (23/01). The visit is aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries based on the principle of mutual respect and benefit. In the meeting,the two ministers discussed the vision of Indonesia as the world's maritime axis, bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the region in Trilateral coordinated patrol, Military Information security approval and the procurement of the main weaponry system (Alutsista) and maritime policy. Related to the development of bilateral defense cooperation, the two countries have established good cooperation especially through Indonesia-US strategic security dialogue and Defense Dialogue that is conducted annually both in Indonesia and USA. ///// VOI-Ahmad Faisal/AHM
