President Inaugurates Rennovated GBK Tennis Court President Inaugurates Rennovated GBK Tennis Court
President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Rennovated Open and Closed Tennis Court Gelora Bung Karno, Saturday, February 3, 2018. The inauguration of the tennis court is the inauguration of the seventh venue of 14 venues being renovated.
"Every day, Indonesia seems to be ready to welcome the 2018 Asian Games because the venues for the games have been completed," said President at Gelora Bung Karno Open Tennis Court.
After delivering his remarks, the President signed two inscriptions to mark the inauguration of Gelora Bung Karno Open and Closed Tennis Court.
The President also handed two bicycles to Senior Tennis Athletes Yustedjo Tarik and Yayuk Basuki.
Meanwhile, in his report, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said that the renovation of the tennis courts had been held for 16 months from September 2016 until December 2017.
"The GBK outdoor tennis court is one of the 6 heritage buildings in the GBK area which renovation was carried out by considering aspects of cultural preservation as recommended by the team of cultural heritage experts," said Basuki.  
Attending the inauguration event were Chairman of People's Consultative Assembly (MPR)  Zulkifli Hasan, Vice Chairman of MPR EE Mangindaan, Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Affairs Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono Presidential Staff Moeldoko, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Chairman of KOI / INASGOC Chairman Erick Thohir.
