Indonesia holds the 2019 Nias Pro International Surfing Championship. 15 countries participate in the event which has taken place on September 10-15. One participant from Venezuela, female surfer Rosanny Alvarez, admitted in Nias on Wednesday that she is challenged by the "ferocity" of the waves on the Sorake Coast, South Nias, North Sumatra, which she had heard from fellow surfers in advance.Meanwhile, another participant, Robert Peterson of the World Surf League (WSL) said that the wave at Sorake Beach is one of the best in the world so it is worthy of holding an international-level surfing competition. Nias Pro International Surfing 2019 is participated by 126 surfers from various countries.The Nias Pro International Surfing event is part of the Sail Nias 2019 event which will culminate on September 14. According to the schedule, the top event will be attended by President Joko Widodo.

The jet ski athlete, Aqsa Sutan Aswar lives up to the name of Indonesia by winning the P1 Aquacross Round-4 jet ski championship in the United States.At the Jet ski Championship held in Pensacola Beach, Florida, United States, September 7-8, Aqsa became the best in the highest class being contested namely the Pro Endurance 300. In the championship which was also participated in by world-class jet ski champions, it took place as many as 4 mottos. Aside from Aqsa Sutan Anwar, another Indonesian jet ski athlete, Aero Sutan Anwar who is Aqsa's brother also took part.Chairman of PP IJBA, Saiful Sutan Aswar said that he was satisfied with the appearance of his athletes Aqsa and Aero. Although, both did not have enough rest time after undergoing a long flight from Jakarta. His athlete could quickly adapt upon arrival in America.With these results, the man who is familiarly called Fully, hopes to become a major asset in the World Finals World Championship in October 2019. Based on the plan, Aero and Aqsa will take part in the event.

A series of celebrations for the 2019 National Sports Day (Haornas) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan was marked by a record celebration of the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI). More than 5,500 karateka were present in Banjarmasin City to demonstrate Kata 1 and Kata 2, two basic movements in karate on Sunday (8/9) morning.The participants consisted of various ages, ranging from children to parents from various regions in South Kalimantan. The activity was centered on the Merdeka Bridge, Martapura River, Banjarmasin City. The participants followed a movement led directly by Governor of South Kalimantan, Sahbirin Noor on the stage which is located at the intersection of Jalan Veteran and Jalan RE Martadinata.Before breaking the karate record, Gowes Nusantara 2019 stage at Banjarmasin was held. More than 5,000 bike riding participants registered to take part in this activity to ride a bicycle touring a distance of 24.9 kilometers. The highlight of the 2019 Haornas celebration will be held Sunday night at Menara Pandang Siring, Banjarmasin's new icon on the banks of the Martapura River. National Sports Day - Haornas 2019 was closed with a ceremony led by Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nahrawi on Monday morning, 9 September coinciding with the National Sports Day.
