Liliyana Natsir was chosen as the best women's badminton player in the last decade based on the poll results held by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) via Twitter. In the final stage, Liliyana won the poll with 69.4 percent of the votes, beating the world number one badminton player from China-Taipei, Tai Tzu Ying who was in second place with 30.6 percent. Liliyana Natsir (35-years old) also managed to beat Carolina Marin from Spain, Huang Yaqiong from China, and Ayaka Takahashi from Japan. Throughout her career as a professional badminton player, she has won various titles. She is noted to have collected 51 international titles, including a gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics with his partner, Tontowi Ahmad. In addition, she also won titles in other prestigious events, namely four World Championship titles in 2005, 2007, 2013, and 2017 which she won with Nova Widianto and Tontowi Ahmad.

The Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) will hold again National Training Center in early October after being stopped last April. Chairman of the Indonesian NPC, Senny Marbun, as quoted by detiksport said that the plan is still adjusting to the development of the Corona pandemic still hits the country. Senny revealed that he would call 65 athletes with disabilities to continue the national training until the Paralympic in 2021. Previously, the NPC had received a national Paralympic plate budget worth Rp30.3 billion from the Government. For badminton, Indonesia also hopes for a gold medal at the Paralympics like the Olympics. This cannot be separated from the special record of badminton players at the World Championships last year. The Red-and-White squad won five gold medals and three bronze medals. As for the table tennis players, the squad has David Jacobs. He has already secured Paralympic tickets. He won the ticket after participating in several table tennis qualifying championships.

The deadline for registering for the virtual running event entitled Milo Indonesia Virtual Run’ is extended until September 30, 2020, from the previous one until September 18, 2020. In addition to the registration deadline, the virtual running period is also extended, from initially only 20 September 2020 to 3 October 2020. This was stated by the person in charge of the activity, Mirna Tri Handayani in a press release in Jakarta on Tuesday (22/9). With the extension of that period, it is hoped that more running lovers and Indonesian families will participate in this activity. In addition, she also wants to invite all people to start living a healthy and active lifestyle. Furthermore, she revealed that this year's Milo Indonesia Virtual Run is also held to celebrate the National Sports Day (Haornas) which fells on September 9, 2020, through the Milo Indonesia Virtual Run. According to Mirna, her side also supports the recommendation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in enhancing awareness of the Indonesian people to continue exercising while adhering to health protocols. The virtual running race is divided into two categories, namely 10 kilometers (10K) and Family Run 3 kilometers (3K).

The Executive Board of the Indonesian Cycling Federation (ICF) is holding a Jakarta-Papua cycling as far as 2020 kilometers as a form of support for the implementation of the XX 2021 National Sports Week (PON). Chairman of Executive Board of ICF, Raja Sapta Oktohari in Jakarta on Monday (21/9) said that the event is also used as an approach to campaign for PON to the regions. The Jakarta-Papua cycling has started with the first stage covering a distance of 120 km from Jakarta to Purwakarta on Monday. The cycling activity is expected to finish in Papua before the PON is held in October 2021. According to Oktohari who is also Head of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (IOC), the accumulated distance can gradually reach 2020 km once it reaches Papua. He added that his side will also invite Indonesian sports stakeholders, from national athletes to the bicycle community to participate in these activities. Even, the General Chairman of the Central National Sports Committee, Marciano Norman has agreed to participate. The event is organized according to strict health protocols. If everything goes well, the calculation will finish in December 2020.
