Indonesian Ministry of Trade simplifies the regulation and supervision of the import trade system. Director General of Foreign Trade, Oke Nurwan said, this simplification aims to improve the ease of business or ease of doing business. After the event "Socialization of Regulatory Simplification and Monitoring of Import Import in Post Border" held in Jakarta, on Thursday, January 25th, he explained, there are five thousand two hundred goods prohibited or limited imports from total 10 thousand of goods. During this time, goods restricted imports, or called Lartas, are supervised by customs or in the Border. Customs controls the completeness of Lartas import permit documents which are publicized by various Ministries. Now, through the new policy, about two thousand two hundred kinds of Lartas are no longer checked in at Customs. The Lartas will be supervised by Indonesian Ministry of Trade and other Ministries or called the Post Border.

Mr. Oke further said: "The impact is the flow of goods will become more smoothly. Because our goal is facilitating the flow of goods in order to make lower figure of ease of doing business. The ranking also rises". 

Oke also explained, the goods are still checked in Post Border including pearl products, toys, horticultural products, ceramics, and so forth. Safety, health and safety related items will be kept under surveillance in the Border or at the Customs. With the new policy, the importer only needs to make an online statement or self-declaration online that the completeness of the product is complete. VOI News - Tour de Indonesia is one of the most prestigious cycling tour in Indonesia since 2004 until 2011. After 7 years of vacancy, in 2018 Tour De Indonesia will be held again with the highest category.At a press conference Wednesday afternoon ( 24/1) in Yogyakarta, General Chairman of Indonesian Bicycle Sports Association, Raja Sapta Oktohari, said the tour is different from the previous tours, because the first time Indonesia has 2.1 (two point one) race that has the race with the highest classification.

"This tour is different because for the first time Indonesia has 2.1 race, so this is the highest classification tour we have in Indonesia. And this is also the first bike racing tour that is broadcast live on streaming starting from start to finish, even this activity will be broadcast by a well-known foreign media, Eurosport."



The tour which will take place on 25-28 January originally took start location at Borobudur Temple, Yogyakarta, but there was a shift to Prambanan Temple, Yogjakarta due to technical reasons. The displacement of the start location also affects the race distance. The distance of the first stage from Prambanan Temple ending in Ngawi, East Java is 124.7 kilometer long. On the second stage, the rider will start the race from Madiun and end in Mojokerto with a distance of 117.7 kilometers. After finish, all riders will continue the trip to Probolinggo which become the location start of stage three to Banyuwangi with distanceof 200 km. For the last stage, all the riders will cross to Bali Island. The start line is from Gilimanuk and will finish in Denpasar, Bali with distance of 170,9 kilometer. The number of participants already registered in Tour de Indonesia 2018 is 22 countries joined in 15 continental teams, including 5 national teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, E ritria, and Mongolia.//voinews.yb/AHM

Chairman of the Employers Association of Indonesia (APINDO) Hariyadi Sukamdani responded positively to President Joko Widodo's state visits to five countries in South Asia. After attending a seminar on Business Opportunities in Indonesia in 2018, on Wednesday, January 24th in Jakarta, Hariyadi said the visit could boost Indonesia's economic development through increasing economic cooperation with friendly countries. In addition, according to him, President Joko Widodo's visit to South Asian countries also shows Indonesia's attention to the development in those countries.

“I think it is positive because those countries actually have great potential and need to be upgraded like India for example. India is quite a big tren upward. Afghanistan is not yet because the country is still facing problem. On the other side, not only economic, politics is also important, the government also needs to pay attention to the countries that are in trouble,” Hariyadi said.

President Joko Widodo conducted a series of state visits from 24 to 29 January. The visit was made to five countries in the South Asia region of Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. In addition to bilateral visits with the five countries, the President is also scheduled to attend the ASEAN-India Summit as well as the 25th anniversary of ASEAN and India cooperation. President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena in their meeting, in addition to discussing economic cooperation, also discussed the development of capacity building cooperation between the two countries. Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, who accompanied President Joko Widodo in Colombo, said on Wednesday, January 24th that at the meeting of the two heads of state, President Maithripala Sirisena hoped that Indonesia could increase the quota of Sri Lankan students to get education at the Institute of Resilience National Indonesia. Sri Lanka also hopes that Indonesia will participate in the development of education, especially in terms of teacher empowerment.

“So far Indonesia has given some capacity building to Sri Lanka. In the meeting, some of the things presented by the President of Sri Lanka are among others expecting that the number of students of Lemhanas from Sri Lanka can be improved. In this case the President of the Republic of Indonesia has responded that he+ will convey this to the Governor of Lemhanas and the President agrees that the number of students from Sri Lanka for Lemhanas will be increased. Secondly, there is a request from Sri Lanka for teacher empowerment and then tourist officers, so the officials in charge of this tourism sector also want to be co-operated in the form of capacity building as well as enhancement of cooperation in the field of education, and the President also respond positively to the request,” Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said.

Meanwhile, related to the architecture of the region, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi conveyed, President Joko Widodo invited Sri Lanka to actively promote cooperation within the context of the Association of Indian Ocean Rim Association for IORA. This, according to Minister Retno, received a positive response from Sri Lankan President Maihripala Sirisena who conveyed the importance of promoting the Blue Economy cooperation embodied in the Jakarta Declaration and the Plan of Action of the IORA. The minister added that the two countries also agreed to develop the Indo-Pacific region by promoting a transparent and inclusive principle based on the spirit of cooperation, which will result in a peaceful and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
