VOInews, Jakarta: Indonesian public radio network, Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) agreed to collaborate on broadcast and information programming. President Director of the RRI, I. Hendrasmo, said the collaboration aimed to provide broadcasts and information for Indonesian citizens in Hong Kong, China. Currently, the number of Indonesian citizens living in the territory has reached 50,000 people.

VOInews, Jakarta: Indonesian president, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Great Commander Soedirman National Defense Central Hospital (RSPPN) in South Jakarta on Monday (19/02/2024). The hospital, named after Soedirman, the first commander-in-chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), is owned and operated by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. Besides serving as a general hospital, it is also a teaching hospital for students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Indonesian Defense University, also owned by the ministry.

VOInews.id: India's foreign ministry said Monday that Qatar had freed eight ex-navy personnel. As reported by AFP on Monday (12/2/2024), they had previously been arrested and sentenced to death, reportedly for spying for Israel.

VOInews.id: The death toll from a massive Philippine landslide near a gold mine abruptly rose to 54 on Sunday (11/2/2024), local officials said. Nineteen bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble in the southern mountain village of Masara on Sunday, with 63 other miners and residents still missing, said the municipality of Maco, and provincial disaster official Randy Loy. As reported by AFP, the previous death toll given stood at 35.
