Indonesian President Joko Widodo and visiting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, earlier witnessed the exchange of agreement documents between the businessmen of both countries.The agreements included a Memorandum of Understanding between DP World represented by CEO Sultan bin Sulayem and Maspion represented by CEO Alim Markus.Indonesia and the UAE are on the same page in terms of increasing bilateral cooperation in 12 areas, particularly in the economic sector.From the substance of issues discussed, the first is how the two countries can enhance economic cooperation. Minister Airlangga Hartarto said in a statement on Thursday (July 25) the MOU will serve as an umbrella for cooperation in the development of industrial sector potential for the two countries.The two governments will develop the agro-based industry, metal and machinery industry, chemical industry and the small and medium scale industry.Among Indonesia's 10 potential commodity exports to the UAE are crude palm oil, food and beverages, pulp and paper.Indonesia has the potential to export agro-industrial products, particularly pulp and paper, as the Al-Nakheel tissue factory operates in Abu Dhabi.A possibility to export more metal and machinery is also open as the UAE has its first and largest automotive industry built by Ashok Leyland in Ras Al Khaimah.Earlier Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that the visit of Crown Prince Abu Dhabi / Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a very historic visit because it was the first state visit after 29 years. The word Brek which means "dropped" and " kecek " which means "mixed", is a combination of words that refer to the technique of dropping / dropping fish into processed ingredients which have been mixed with water. Meanwhile, the term of Pathak which is in Javanese means ‘head’, refers to the head of a fish species which is the main ingredient of this dish. Making Brekecek Pathak Jahan is fairly easy. Thirty students from the Psychology Faculty, University of Indonesia, who are incorporated in specialization group namely Tari Kencana Pradipa, won the General Champion at the 15th International Competition and Festival of Folklore Etoiles de Paris, in France. Team Chairman of Misi Budaya Kencana Pradipa 2019, Rara Anindita in her written statement on Thursday (25/7) said that her side has got support from various parties, including from the Indonesian Embassy in France. This international cultural competition was held at the Le Poc Theater, Salle de Spectacle, France. The team performed Silat Randai dance and Ratoh Jaroe. Ratoh Jaroe is a creation dance coming from Aceh. The dance is performed by female dancers coming from the element of togetherness and compactness.
Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil visited the office of one of the British tea producers, Finlays during his working visit in England on Tuesday (23/7) . On this occasion, Governor Ridwan Kamil promoted West Java tea. However, West Java tea has not been able to attract the European people, especially the UK. He explained that the situation is homework for Indonesian tea producers, especially West Java in order to be able to supply the European tea needs, including Britain. After visiting the Finlays office, he met with 12 entrepreneurs who are incorporated with members of the ASEAN-UK Business Council and he also explained the investment potential in West Java as well as various infrastructure developments which are being built in West Java, such as the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train.
The Indonesian Ministry of Trade is committed to supporting t the Export-led Prosperity workshop, Made in Palestine in Jakarta, as an effort for Palestine to obtain market access in international trade. Secretary of the Directorate General of International Trade Negotiations, Moga Simatupang said on Thursday (18/7) that the workshop is the first time to be done and it has a good opportunity to introduce Palestinian goods and services to potential trading partners in Indonesia. Therefore, Indonesian entrepreneurs can identify potential products as well as investments in cooperation with Palestine. The event was opened by Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair SM Al Shun and it is one of a series of trade missions of the Palestinian Government to Indonesia.
Finally, Indonesia as the host has fulfilled the target of appearing as the general champion of the 2019 Southeast Asian Student Games (ASG) in Semarang, Central Java after collecting the most medals in the final match on Tuesday (23/7). Not only appearing as the general champion, Indonesia managed to surpass the medal target of the planned 36 gold announced earlier. In total, the hosts obtained 43 gold medals, 34 silver and 25 bronze, winning by ten gold from Thailand that finished second with 33 gold, 31 silver and 35 bronze, followed by Malaysia (18-25-34). Cambodia is the only contingent that did not win a medal from ten participating countries. Badminton branch complements the strength of the host Indonesia by wiping out all seven numbers contested. In addition to badminton, Pencak Silat also managed to show dominance by making seven out of ten gold medals that were contested, far surpassing the target of five gold. Chairman of the Indonesian Contingent, Yayan Rubaeni could not hide his joy with the achievement of several branches that exceeded the target. He said ‘Thanks God’; the target was exceeded because of the hard work of the athletes, coaches and all parties. Another branch that showed surprising achievements according to Yayan was athletics with 11 gold medals, because the original target was only eight gold medals. In addition to athletics, another sport that exceeded the target at the student sports party was swimming, which got 13 gold medals, from the initial target of 12 gold.
The international paragliding competition in West Java, the World Championship and Culture Festival 2019 in Sumedang is an arena to promote West Java as a world-class tourist destination. The paragliding championship will be held on 2-8 October 2019 and will be held for the first time with around 80 pilots from 20 countries to participate. This event will be used as a means to promote Sumedang tourism as ‘paradise’ as well as international paragliding destination. He explained that there are 3 considerations for Sumedang in holding the West Java World Championship and Culture Festival 2019. First, Sumedang is an area that has a very good place for air sports, especially paragliding for competition at the level of accuracy and "cross country", and it’s good for "Fun fly" or fly happily over the Jatigede Dam. Secondly, Sumedang has cultural and tourism potential that cannot be found elsewhere so it gets the nickname 'Sundanese Culture Puseur' or Sundanese Cultural Center. Third, there is support of cooperation with the tourism industry, the Regional Government of West Java Province, FASI Paragliding, communities, including the media or as a tourism Pentahelix element. Minister Arief Yahya appreciates the holding of the West Java World Championship and Culture Festival 2019 event which will bring about positive impacts to improve the economy of the local community.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nahrawi inaugurated the new logo of Indonesian Open X-sport Championship (IOXC), which was held at the Wisma Kemenpora Auditorium on Thursday (25/7). He said that the new logo will open the widest opportunity for sponsors to provide support for extreme sports. He also stated that with the logo change, it is hoped that there would be a new spirit in spurring the rise of extreme sports in Indonesia. The new logo of IOXC is currently consisting of bright colors like yellow orange to provide fresh, fresh nuances, blue on the background depicting good luck, red that signifies bravery, and white which means safe and peaceful.IOXC is a multi-branch x-sport championship, starting from Aggressive Inline Skate, Skateboard, Freestyle BMX, Battle B-Boys, Freestyle Football and Freestyle Basketball. IOXC is also able to produce athletes who have successfully won medals at the 2018 Asian Games. Minister Imam also explained that x-sport in Indonesia is quite developing. Badminton competition without hearing and speaking made the man born in Karawang on May 14 2001 rely on the visual movement of the shuttlecock in the air and this is the power of Ilyas. In the men's singles final, Ilyas defeated Hong Kong athlete, Lau Ch with the score 21-19 and 21-15. He won the second gold from the men's doubles with Salim Mandek after defeating Indian pair, Anand / Kusghara, with the score 18-21, 21-14 and 22-20. While the third gold he gained after pairing with Dzakiya Amalia Ma'ruf (17) in the mixed doubles by defeating Indian pair: Hkt Anand / Jelin with the score 21-18 and 22-20. The glorious and enchanting appearance of Ilyas made the international spectator spill support by pointing two flat fingers towards the arena. Interpreter of the sign language from the School of Special Education Teachers (SGPLB) Bandung, Tolibul Hadi said that the two flat fingers with a wavy swing is a visualization of a red and white flag arranged horizontally.
