Indonesian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Fadjroel Rachman handed over a credential letter to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kasyim Jomart Tokayev in Nur-Sultan City on Monday (21/2). The ceremony for the handover of the credential letter was solemn and smooth while adhering to the health protocols amid the Covid-19 pandemic. This was the written statement from the Indonesian Embassy- Nur-Sultan received by Antara onTuesday (22/2).  

During the meeting, Ambassador Fadjroel conveyed greetings from President Joko Widodo to President Kasyim Jomart Tokayev. He also explained about the diplomatic efforts that will be carried out while serving in Kazakhstan, namely increasing cooperation in all fields, including economic diplomacy about 70 to 80 percent. On the same occasion, Ambassador Fadjroel also explained about efforts to further intensify the presence of Pencak Silat culture in Kazakhstan. Over the last four years, Pencak Silat has developed very rapidly in Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Pencak Silat Association has already existed in 12 regions out of 14 regions in that country.

On that occasion, President Tokayev congratulated the official start of the assignment in Kazakhstan, as well as the support from the government of Kazakhstan to Ambassador Fadjroel Rachman in carrying out his duties while in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, President Tokayev also said that Indonesia is an inseparable part of foreign policy of Kazakhstan. According to President Tokayev, Indonesia is a partner country of Kazakhstan, which has good relations bilaterally and multilaterally. In addition, President Tokayev also congratulated Indonesia on holding the G20 Presidency.

At the end of the letter submission ceremony, Ambassador Fadjroel conveyed greetings from the Indonesian people to the government and people of Kazakhstan and he hopes for an official visit between the leaders of both countries.

Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo explained the result of the 1st Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting with some international organizations virtually on Friday (18/2).

In a press release, Minister Sri Mulyani pointed out that the 1st FMCBG discussed six priority agendas namely global economy & health, international financial architecture, financial sector issues, sustainable finance, international infrastructure & taxation.

She also remarked that on the first day, there was a high-level seminar joined by world's figures to discuss strengthening the global health architecture in facing the Covid-19 pandemic. Until now, many countries' economies are badly affected and not yet recovering.

On the second day, there were some issues namely sustainable finance, climate crisis, infrastructure, and international taxation. Special for tax, was discussed in an agreement involving two pillars namely taxation in the digital sector and global minimal taxation.

Minister Sri Mulyani further said that the participants also discussed the condition of poor and developing countries stuck in debt. Therefore, a global cooperation from the creditors is needed to provide space for these countries so that they can recover.

In the same press release, Governor Perry Warjiyo said that the international monetary system was also an important discussion. It was mainly related to the plan and anticipation of the policy normalization in developed countries.

The meeting participants agreed some commitments, such as the need to support macro stability and global finance. G20 is committed to implementing a normalization that has been properly calibrated, planned, and communicated. This is important so that the policy normalization by developed countries will have minimal impact on global finance market conditions.

The other issues being discussed were a more varied currency in trade and investment, and global finance sector reform. Referring to the G20 roadmap, the participants were committed to further strengthening and expanding payment digitalization as well as promoting an easy, fast, and cheap transaction. This is aimed at increasing retail trade development, financial inclusion and supporting the micro, small, and medium enterprises, especially for women and youths.

The 1st Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting also supports the FInancial Action Task Force (FATF) as a global standardization agency to prevent and fight money laundering, terrorists funding, and proliferation funding.

Indonesian Ambassador to Italy, Muhammad Prakosa handed over a credential letter to Italian President, Sergio Mattarella at the Italian Presidential Palace Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome, Italy Friday (18/2).  The Indonesian Embassy Rome in its statement  received in Jakarta on Monday (21/2) stated that Ambassador  Muhammad Prakosa  serves as ambassador to Italy,    Malta, Cyprus and  San Marino as well as several international organizations, such as Food and Agriculture Organization/International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) , World Food Program (WFP) and International Institute for the Unification of Private Law; French: Institut international pour l'unification du droit privĂ© (UNIDORIT).

During the handover ceremony, Ambassador Prakosa conveyed his greetings from Indonesian President Joko Widodo and all Indonesian people to President Sergio Mattarella and all Italian people. Ambassador Prakosa also congratulated the inauguration of President Sergio Mattarella for the second time in early February 2022. Moreover, Ambassador Prakosa conveyed his commitment to continuously improve bilateral relations between Indonesia and Italy in all fields and expand the diversification of trade, investment and tourism relations. Furthermore, he also wants to improve the quality of protection of Indonesian citizens by strengthening relations with Italian authorities.

Ambassador Prakosa also explained the theme of the Indonesian G20 Presidency, namely "Recover Together, Recover Stronger" with three priority issues: global health architecture, digital transformation and sustainable energy transition.

Meanwhile, Italian President Sergio Mattarella stated that he was very impressed by the diversity and harmony of religious communities in Indonesia.  He also said that Indonesia and Italy have good economic and trade relations. President Mattarella further stated that Italy is ready and open to always support lots of efforts to strengthen relations of both countries in all fields.

Biak Numfor is one of regencies in Papua province, Indonesia. The regency consists of 2 small islands namely Biak and Numfor Island, including more than 42 tiny islands, such as Padaido Island which has become the main development activities of many people.

Padaido comes from the local language which means the beauty that is unrevealed. According to research conducted by the Biodiversity Conservation Network, Padaido Island is one of places whose biodiversity of coral ecosystem is the largest in the world. Over there, there is a coral reef rehabilitation center so that the existence of marine tourism potential on the island is well-ordered.

The island has 95 species of rock and 155 species of fish such as various kinds of sharks and octopus as well as various maritime wealth. Padaido Island is a cluster of rocky islands consisting of 30 islands in the Pacific Ocean on the Eastern part of Biak Island.

Padaido Island has around 9252 hectares of coral reef. If you are in Biak and want to visit Padaido Island, you can go to Tiptop port in Biak and rent a speedboat to Padaido Island.

Trip to cross the sea takes around 3 hours. Along the trip, you can see some dolphins which appear on the surface of the Blue Ocean. It looks beautiful.

If you go to Padaido Island, you have to be careful when low tide. The low tide can endanger ships or boats because there are many kinds of rock surrounding the sea.

On Padaido Island, you can see beautiful undersea scenery such as a cave. To see the cave, you have to dive until 12 meters deep.

In addition, you can also see shipwreck, carcasses of aircraft and some ex-war equipment. We suggest you dive in the sea during hot weather so that reflection of sunlight can illuminate to a depth of 15 meters. So, you do not need to carry a searchlight.

If you want to stay at night, you can stay near Padaido Island. The lodging is not luxurious, but it can be a comfortable place to stay there.
