The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno appreciated the collaborative work in the form of content showing the Ministry of Tourism's policies and programs visualized with a graphic touch on creatively packaged videos.

The result of this work is a collaboration between the Communication Bureau of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy with 12 parekraf actors in the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) and "Works for Indonesia" Exhibition. The event was held virtually and was attended by more than 2000 participants who had registered for three days from August 25-27 2021.

In a press release received by Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday (25/08/21), Minister Sandiaga Uno explained that this activity was one of the activities that provided benefits. He hopes that the creative industry players will gain new insights and be able to creatively package their work so that it can help improve the economy in Indonesia, especially the creative tourism players.

“The activity organized by the Communications Bureau is one of the positive activities that we need to appreciate. This is a cool activity, because it is able to adapt to technology," said Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno at the virtual opening of the Technical Bimtek and "Works for Indonesia" Exhibition, Wednesday (8/25/2021).

Publishers and producers of recorded works in Indonesia are disciplined in submitting printed and recorded works (KCKR) to the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas). During January-July 2021, the National Library of Indonesia recorded that 311,956 copies of KCKR were submitted by publishers and producers of recorded works. This year, the National Library of Indonesia is targeting 367,500 KCKR copies.

In a press release received by Voice of Indonesia on Tuesday (24/08/21), The Head of the National Library of Indonesia Muhammad Syarif Bando said that this compliance is something to be proud of in an effort to realize a national collection and preserve it as a result of the nation's culture. However, he asked his staff to collect the handover and save collections at the same time that they can be used by the community.

“The extent to which these works are used in our society. I as the Head really hope that my staff, can explain to the people of Indonesia and the world, that the works produced by intellectuals have been put to good use by the people of Indonesia and the world,” he explained in an activity with the theme 'Through SS Compliance. Syarif Bando also said that the library is an institution that bridges knowledge of the past, present, and future from all the works produced by writers in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Publishers Association (Ikapi) Arys Hilman stated that access is one of the important factors that influence literacy activities. Ikapi noted that the number of electronic books registered to the National Library of Indonesia to obtain an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) continues to grow every year. In 2017, as many as 2,819 electronic book titles submitted received ISBNs, and increased in 2019 to 17,141.

General Manager of the Indonesian Recording Industry Association (Asiri) Braniko Indhyar explained that since 2018, his party has been trusted by the National Library to create and develop a system that helps record producers submit their recorded works to the National Library. In the midst of an increasingly competitive world development, the business world, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives, must innovate and transform. Therefore, MSMEs and cooperatives must develop their business models with adequate information intake. Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki explained that the National Library of Indonesia (NLI) has a contribution in developing MSMEs and cooperatives in Indonesia, through its information content.

“Therefore, it is important to access information, access to business development, including vocational training. Since 2018, National Library has carried out the Social Inclusion-Based Transformation Library program for marginalized communities. This year, the program continues and the mentoring has yielded results, where people who have participated in the program have opened MSMEs.

"This is a form of full support for the National Library in increasing public literacy for economic recovery in the pandemic era," he explained.

Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim on Sunday (Aug 22) summoned the Johor Education Department director and 779 teachers who rejected COVID-19 vaccinations to meet him as soon as possible.

"I will meet with the Johor education director and the teachers concerned as soon as possible. Our priority is to overcome the pandemic so that the people and the state can return to life as normal," he said in a post on his Twitter account.

Johor Education Department deputy director for learning Shahilon Abd Halim is currently the department's acting director.

Tunku Ismail was commenting on a news report that 779 teachers in the state had rejected COVID-19 vaccinations.

Earlier, chairman of the State Education, Information, Heritage and Culture Committee Mazlan Bujang told the Johor State Assembly that a group of teachers had refused to be inoculated.

He said that efforts were underway through the Johor Education Department and the State Religious Department to brief the teachers on the benefits of being vaccinated.

As of Thursday, 45,448 or 96.26 per cent of teachers in Johor had received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 23,746 teachers had completed two vaccine doses, according to the assemblyman.

In addition, about 6,500 people or 91 per cent of the implementing group members (AKP) had received the first dose of the vaccine, while about 2,800 or 39 per cent had completed two doses.

Another 9,200 or 71 per cent of operational support staff had received the first dose of the vaccine and about 7,000 or 54 per cent had completed both doses.
