President to East Lombok Ensure Good Earthquake Impact Management

President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo this morning, Monday, July 30, 2018, visited East Lombok regency, precisely the location affected by the earthquake.

As is known, on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 5:47 pm, there has been a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that shook the region of Lombok, Bali and Sumbawa.

President and Mrs. Iriana headed for East Lombok regency using Super Puma TNI AU helicopter took off from Sultan Muhammad Kaharuddin Airport, Sumbawa Regency at 07.00 WITA and arrived at the helipad of West Nusa Tenggara Police School, East Lombok at 07.30 WITA. Accompanying President and Mrs. Iriana, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Moeldoko Presidential Chief of Staff and West Nusa Tenggara Governor Muhammad Zainul Majdi.

Prior to entering the vehicle, the President listened to a report from BNPB chief Willem Rampangilei on the emergency response of the earthquake.

From SPN, Head of State and Mrs. Iriana along with the entourage to the evacuation site at Madayin Square, Madayin Village, Sambelia District, East Lombok Regency.

 

In this review, the President wants to ensure that earthquake response can be resolved quickly and well, such as the provision of health services, the availability of logistics and basic needs for refugees, and the availability of emergency education services. In addition, the President will meet with the people affected by the disaster and also hand over the aid.

From East Lombok, the President continued his journey to Dompu Regency using Super Puma TNI AU Helicopter. Here, the President will inaugurate Tanju Dam located in Tanju Village, Manggelewa District.

In the afternoon after inaugurating the dam, the President will return to Sumbawa Regency using Super Puma TNI AU Helicopter. In Kabupaten Sumbawa, the President will hand over the land certificate to the people and visit the Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS).

In the evening, President and Mrs. Iriana together with the entourage will return to Jakarta by using Presidential Aircraft RJ-85 through Sultan Muhammad Kaharuddin Airport, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. ( biro pers )
