President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will open the 2022 World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) in Nusa Dua, Bali, and the G20 Parliamentary Chair Meeting (P20) here on Thursday.
The president will open the WCCE at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC), Nusa Dua, Badung, on Thursday, according to a statement from the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat.
WCCE, which is a side event of the G20 Presidency, will serve as a forum for meeting delegates from 50 countries to exchange ideas and experiences, develop policy guidelines, and realize concrete cooperation in creative economy.
The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) in WCCE prepared a road map for economic revival that is supported by the creative economy sector with the side of MSMEs.
After WCCE, the president will head to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung District, and then take off to Jakarta aboard the Indonesia-1 presidential plane.
Upon arrival at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, President Jokowi will head to the Nusantara MPR/DPR/DPD-RI Building. The head of state will then open the 8th Session of the G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit (P20).
The P20 meeting is scheduled to be attended by Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) President Duarte Pacheco and the Leaders of the G20 Parliaments, including UK Speaker of The House of Commons Sir Lindsay Harvey Hoyle.
The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) in the P20 session is committed to the success of the parliament's contribution in resolving various global crises and efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the working visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi. (Antara)
