The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police uses an application located at the security post. This is to monitor the smooth flow of the arrival of the VVIP delegates and guests of the G20 Summit (KTT) in Bali.

The Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Pol. Firman Shantyabudi said the post with the application would monitor the delegates. Starting from arriving in Bali, going to the event venue or accommodation, to facilitating the movement of traffic police officers in the field.

"There are several tasks being carried out. One of them is guarding the departure points from and destinations during the G20 Summit," said Firman in his written statement, Monday (11/14/2022).

Firman said the application was connected to cameras in the field, vehicles, and members of the National Police. In order for officers at the post to obtain various information needed at certain times and conditions.

Meanwhile, at the command post, there are several monitors containing a number of pictures of the movement of officers in the field, including the route the delegation will pass. "For example, there is a purple color depicting the position of Polri personnel on the road who regulates traffic," he said.

Furthermore, the light blue color depicts the position of electric vehicles, which are mostly deployed to escort delegates during activities in Bali. In addition, the dark blue color depicts vehicles that use fossil fuels.

"So, we monitor every movement. Making sure they are on a predetermined route and this helps if something happens we can report it to the command to provide assistance at what point," he said.

For track monitoring, Firman gave an example of the sophistication of technology that can be used to monitor road conditions from the airport to the hotel. "We take the example that Aipda Made will be in charge of driving an electric four-wheeled vehicle and he brings a delegation from India. So, we immediately knew which delegation this was and knew exactly what the duties of the members were," he said. (RRI)
