In addition to preparing terminals 1 and 2 of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang as a low-cost carrier terminal (LCCT),  PT. Angkasa Pura II is currently also preparing the concept and design of terminal construction 4.  According to President Director of PT. Angkasa Pura, Muhammad Awaluddin in its press statement in Jakarta on Thursday (9/8), it will try to complete the concept and design of terminal 4 in 2020 so that the land acquisition process can be carried out immediately in 2021. With completion of terminals 1 and 2 LCCT and terminal 4 expected International Airport Soekarno-Hatta is able to serve approximately 100 million passengers in 2026.

“Now we will finish all of that by 2020, so that by 2021 we can start land clearing until later two years or less we already have terminal four. Now if we already have four terminals, the runway has three, the taxiway crossing has two and we can be optimistic that around 2026-2028 Soekarno-Hatta will penetrate 100 million traffic passengers. And there is one more challenge, whether Soekarno-Hatta will stop there, because the closing sentence is who doesn't like Jakarta, said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Awaluddin added, currently the capacity of terminals 1 and 2, each of which can accommodate 9 million passengers per year. With the development into the LCCT, the total capacity of these two terminals will double, to each of 18 million passengers per year. While terminal 4 will be projected to be able to accommodate 25 million passengers per year, completing terminal 3 which currently operates to accommodate 25 million passengers per year.
