VOInews, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo visited Salatiga City Regional General Hospital, Central Java on Monday (22/1). Monitored from the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, President Joko Widodo said that his working visit this time aims to see hospital services for patients or people who have Healthy Indonesia Cards (KIS).

"I want to see hospital services for patients or people who want to be served, because we know that our Healthy Indonesia Card, KIS has been given to approximately 96 million (people) and those who participate in BPJS are now 267 million (people). It's a little over 95 percent," President Joko Widodo said.

In addition, President Joko Widodo also ensured that hospital services were not involved in extortion and restrictions on patient care.

"I asked earlier, is there any extortion, there is none. is the patient's stay in the hospital limited, also not. I think this is good," he said.

He also said that hospitals must improve services such as speed of service, shortening queues, and adequate hospital facilities.

The President believes that KIS and BPJS are very helpful to the community.
