Indonesian President Joko Widodo said he had heard information about the damage to the Indonesian Hospital in Bait Lahia due to an Israeli air strike on the Gaza, Palestine route on Saturday (10/27) local time. The president in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, Sunday (10/28) confirmed that Indonesia condemned the action.

“Yes we know, the hospital was damaged and Indonesia criticized, strongly condemned the Israeli attack on October 27 yesterday. Because not only damaging our hospital, but also the surrounding area is the same. Indonesia remains and will always be behind the Palestinians in fighting for their independence,” said President Joko Widodo.

A number of patients at Indonesian hospitals in Bait Lahia were immediately evacuated to a safe place at the post of the hospital's damage. Now the situation around the hospital has begun to be conducive. As reported, the missile attack launched by the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip on Saturday was carried out in response to a Hamas militant rocket into Israel. The rocket launched by the Hamas militant was the Palestinian group's biggest attack since August this year. (VOI/RH/AHM)
