VOI News - Indonesian Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs supports Jakarta Provincial Government in cooperating with Norway and Denmark in waste handling efforts. The cooperation focuses on handling plastic waste that flows into the sea. This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs Arif Havas Oegroseno on the sidelines of his visit to Manggarai Water Gate in Jakarta, on Tuesday (30/1). The visit was also attended by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Danish Ambassador to Indonesia Rasmus A Kristensen and Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia Vegard Kalee, and a representative of World Bank to Indonesia Rodrigo Chavez.
"We are in cooperation with Jakarta Provincial Government, the World Bank, the Government of Norway, and also with the Government of Denmark. We have a special program in waste management sector, especially plastic waste which flows to the sea," Arif said. 
Arif Havas Oergoseno added that waste management, especially plastic waste management should be done as soon as possible. The Indonesian government has supported the waste management in each region. It has also allocated a budget of 1 billion US Dollars for the  waste management in five years//  (VOI/Rezha)
