Indonesia continues to improve its commitment of capacity building cooperation with Timor Leste. In addition to increasing capacity building cooperation, the Government of Indonesia will also continue the education cooperation for students from Timor Leste who study in Indonesia. It was stated by Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L.P. Marsudi in his press conference after holding a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor Leste, Aurellio Gutteres, at Pancasila Building, Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 31st, 2018.

“We agreed to continue, some of which have been conveyed, including educational cooperation for East Timorese students residing in Indonesia and we are also committed to enhancing capacity building cooperation, both in bilateral and trilateral contexts with the state or with others,” Retno L.P. Marsudi said.

Indonesia's commitment in capacity building cooperation with Timor Leste can be seen from the provision of assistance worth 6 million US dollars in the form of sending experts, training, and scholarship to the students of Timor Leste in Indonesia in the period 2013-2017./// (VOI/Rezha/ahm)
